A friend suggested we take out almost two-year olds here so we made a booking for 3pm on Saturday afternoon. It was absolutely rammed with buggies and the sand area was extremely busy with children - we arrived 5 minutes early yet I don’t think there’s a system in place yet to signal allocated slot switchovers. Even just a 5 min warning before the hour’s up, and then another at the next time slot would work. At our allocated time, a couple of children left but most continued. We managed to park buggies by folding them up which was fine. It would have been nice to get a table to chat but there was no room to sit so we went into the sand area with them. I wasn’t too sure what to do with socks - keep them on like some parents had, or take them off? The sand space looks larger thanks to a well placed mirror. Essentially it’s a nice set up but the slide is super fast - I wasn’t aware of this until my child went down it and graced the side of his face coming down! Definitely hold the hands of younger children! Usually my little one has no trouble with slides but this is a lot faster than expected. The sand is fine and clean and there’s plenty of toys for the children to play with in there. Despite there being notices that no food should be taken into the sandy part, obviously some parents were letting their children eat in there (some were actively feeding them!) so there were bits of what looked like bagel and apple in there. However I think it got cleared up quickly when the owner spotted it. The kids got babyccinos which were generously sized and a good temperature. The smoothies also looked good. Overall I think this would be ideal to go to when it’s less busy. It’s also hard as some children were throwing sand which is never fun. So maybe some clearer rules would be helpful. I’d also say it’s best for maximum age 4 years. It could be a lovely way to start your day, and finish the session with a drink and light bite.

“Sandscape Kids Play and Cafe is a rare find — a cozy, cheerful space where every detail, from the décor to the food, makes you feel genuinely welcomed and cared for.” ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sandscape Kids Play and Cafe is a true hidden gem. While it’s designed with families in mind, it’s also a perfect spot for someone visiting solo like me. The atmosphere is uplifting — bright, cheerful colours and soft, relaxing background music make it a wonderfully comfortable space. As someone who is hearing-impaired, I found it especially calming, yet still filled with warmth and positive energy. The owner is incredibly kind and attentive. I saw her preparing a lovely breakfast for other guests, and when I asked if she could make the same for me, she did so with such care. The breakfast was beautifully presented and full of flavour, and the cappuccino I ordered was simply amazing — creamy, rich, and perfectly balanced. Everything in the café feels spotless and welcoming, creating a fresh, comfortable, and cheerful environment. The décor is cosy and charming, adding to the overall warmth of the place. Sandscape is more than a place to eat or drink; it’s a space where you feel truly looked after. It’s also a wonderful spot for families, so whether you come alone or with loved ones, you’ll feel right at home. Visiting Sandscape isn’t just about enjoying a meal — it’s about being genuinely welcomed and valued as a guest. The care and attention in every detail make this café a rare and special place. I walked away feeling uplifted and appreciated, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit. DBrazilianUK

First time coming to this new play cafe, overall a good experience Though was surprised you had to pay to go into the sandpit/play area. It’s £7.50 for an hour, my 2 year old roughly stayed in there for about 40mins and was done so I doubt you will require more time in there. The cafe itself is quite small so don’t expect a huge play area - I did however like the fact I can eat and drink my coffee in peace while being able to see my child playing happily so it being an intimate space is a positive! They don’t have a proper kitchen so you’ll expect croissants, pastry’s, muffins that kinda food. Their coffee was pretty decent, so that’s a plus. It’s quite nice to have a play area close to me as I would usually go to the snug cafe on green lanes though that does get quite busy so I guess sandacape charging that fee helps mitigate a crowded space as it’s already quite small. The staff were friendly, though the young lady manning the play area could have done with a coffee as she seemed quite unhappy the other lady that took her place as she took her break seemed more into it and seemed to like helping the kids and genuinely liked being there!

Sandscape Kids is an absolute gem of a coffee shop that caters to both parents and children. As a parent, it can be challenging to find a place where you can enjoy a cup of coffee while keeping your little ones entertained. However, Sandscape Kids has truly mastered the art of combining a cozy coffee shop atmosphere with an exciting indoor playground, making it a go-to destination for families seeking quality time together.

From the moment we walked through the door, it was evident that Sandscape Kids is a cut above the rest. The warm and inviting ambiance instantly puts you at ease, while the contemporary decor and comfortable seating create a relaxing environment. The attention to detail is superb, with plenty of natural light streaming in and a well-designed layout that allows parents to keep an eye on their children at all times.

The highlight of this exceptional establishment, without a doubt, is the incredible indoor playground. Sandscape Kids has taken the concept of a coffee shop with a playground to a whole new level. The playground is clean, safe, and offers a wide range of activities to keep children of all ages engaged and entertained. From climbing frames and slides to imaginative play areas, there is something for every child's interest. The owners have truly gone above and beyond to create an environment that fosters creativity and promotes social interaction among kids.

While the kids are having a blast in the playground, parents can enjoy a moment of relaxation with a cup of expertly brewed coffee. Sandscape Kids offers an extensive selection of beverages, including a variety of specialty coffees, teas, and refreshing smoothies. The baristas are knowledgeable and passionate about their craft, ensuring that every cup is prepared with care and precision.

The menu at Sandscape Kids offers a delightful assortment of freshly baked pastries and light bites that are as delicious as they are visually appealing. We highly recommend trying their heavenly croissants or indulging in a scrumptious slice of cake. Gluten-free and vegan options are also available, accommodating various dietary preferences.

The staff at Sandscape Kids deserves special mention for their warm and friendly demeanor. They exude a genuine love for children and go the extra mile to ensure every guest has a memorable experience. Their attentiveness and prompt service truly make you feel like part of the Sandscape Kids family.

I recently visited this place, and unfortunately, it was an extremely disappointing and concerning experience. The place was overly booked, with far too many children crammed into small play areas, particularly the sandpit, which was not suited to handle such a crowd. I had read previous reviews warning about this, and many people had highlighted similar issues, but it seems nothing has been done to address them.

The sandpit area, in particular, is problematic. Despite its tiny size, they allow over 20 bookings for the same time slot. This creates an unsafe and chaotic environment. The slide in this area is outright dangerous. It has a steep, curvy bump that causes children to come down too fast, and it’s extremely easy for them to hit their heads. I witnessed this firsthand when my 2-year-old smacked his head very hard on the slide. Worse, any child downwind of the slide was also getting hurt, as there wasn’t enough space for them to safely move away from the impact zone. I honestly have no idea how this slide passed safety regulations for such a small and crowded space.

The company claims that health and safety are their top priorities, but it's obvious that they are not doing enough to limit the number of children in small spaces. Allowing toddlers and much older children to use the same areas just isn't a good idea either. There needs to be a proper age-based separation to ensure that younger children can play safely without being at risk from older, more energetic kids.

The staff was clearly overwhelmed, and service was very slow. This is no surprise given the sheer number of people they let in. It’s not possible to maintain a safe, enjoyable environment with so many children and parents packed into one small area.

As I sit here writing this review, I regret even going to this place today. My child was hurt, and the experience was far from enjoyable. I would never recommend this place for children under 2, and honestly, I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone until they seriously reconsider how they manage bookings and safety. No matter what the company says in response to this or other reviews, it's clear they aren’t taking action to fix the underlying problems. I won’t be returning.

With a bit more thought and less seeking opportunity to make money it could have been a great place.
