Although we had high hopes for this creperie when we placed a reservation for 4. Our experience was unfortunately incredibly bad. The drinks (coffee and coke) arrived around half an hour after we ordered (with one of them arriving after 45 mins), but even worse than that, we only got our food 1 hour and 15 minutes after we ordered!! When our dished arrived all of them were visible wrong. After noticing the waiter took our order again, apparently our dishes were given to another table. Meanwhile most of other customers (that came after us) not only were served but they had left already. We accepted to have our order taken again said assuming the it would arrive in time as we had a booking in the next 30 minutes. If that was not enough when our second order came , half of the dishes we got were completely wrong, risking even with including ingredients to the crepe in which we had allergies to! The only upside was that the waiter was very friendly and tried to apologise for this extremely unprofessional service, but there was no manager present at the moment, and that meant that we were not even offered a discount for this terrible experience. So overall we had to pay full price for a service we didn't receive, knowing that our 4 plates took almost 2 hours to be prepared and the 8 plates we received, 6 of them were wrong allergens. We were offered free lemorande and apple juice however we were not interested in that. We would not recommend it. As the waiter said, better to come when there is...

My friends and I ate here for brunch yesterday around 1pm. Granted it was busy but the staff seemed really slow for the most part. Slow to come take orders (had to ask someone to come to our table and even then the woman took a leisurely stroll to get there), had to wave someone to refill water during our meal, had to get up and ask a server to get our bill and that took a while. Our waitress for the most part, was unfortunately, a nonsmiling young woman with two small buns on her head; she was nothing short of surly. When the galettes came, she stood there with the plate and barked the order. When the bill came, she actually somewhat tossed the small plate the bill was in so that it clattered on the table. I remember my other friends looking startled.

Thankfully no service is included but none was deserved. It’s amazing what people put up with here that would NEVER fly in NY. Still shocks me as an expat.

Anyway onto the food. It took a while to arrive (as did all our food) but my Roast Squash with goat cheese was delicious (I got the buckwheat batter). Stuffed with veg and the portion was quite large. My friends similarly praised their food and the prices are very good with no galettes or crepes being more than £9 (I think).

I would consider returning save for the service. That’s a dealbreaker for me and Senzala does...

The chefs are very talented, the menu has appealing options and the food is made to a very high standard. However, poor service ruins it. We went on a Sunday at brunchtime and as with every other restaurant in the market, the queues for tables were huge. Seating our group, bringing drinks, taking our orders and bringing our food took a lifetime. They forgot to bring my coffee and then they couldn't bring my order. The waiter became frustrated because I didn't accept a crepe that had been sitting out more than ten minutes before it was brought (I could see it sitting there). I ended up leaving without eating. However, my group remained to pay and he was apologetic about the poor experience. I do not blame the waiter - it was the busiest time of week and the problem was clearly with management, who failed to organise the right staff levels or co-ordinate front of...

What a Great Place, Food and Atmosphere! Being in London and feel like being in somewhere else in the world maybe France maybe Brazil maybe Caribbean... that's what you feel in Senzala Creperie. It is my favourite Creperie in London and one of the best places in Brixton for Salty, Sweet and Healthy Food. Staff is so frendly and really looks after guests. It's a place for everyone Vegans, Vegeterians, Celiacs, Pescatarians and Carnivorous :D I love the fact you can choose any crepes or gallettes from the menu and Add or Take off whatever you want with no Prob because the staff is incredibly flexible. My favourite Drink is the home made Senzala Lemonade, so fresh and tasty. There is No Place like this in London, No Doubt. Congartulations to the management Staff. Don't forget this is a Must if you decide to come to Brixton.

Feeling hungry and being Gluten Intolerant is not always a happy situation to be in, especially when one is in an unfamiliar part of town. However, a perusal of Google, whilst on the bus; read some reviews, so Sarava it was. I was looked after, and I can think of no higher praise for when one is dining out, especially with dietary needs. The food was delicious - I had a buckwheat flour crepe called The Spaniard. It felt rude not to have a dessert, so a Vegan (I have a dairy i tolerance too) fruit crepe, with a coffee topped it off. The owner told me he'd been there for 15 years, deep in the heart of Brixton Village Market, and it was a joy to sit there and drink in the atmosphere. One felt safe, valued and where one really could kick back and enjoy the food. Thank you.

Food looked nice on arrival but did not taste great at all Savoury crepe was dry and just broke up I got the goat's cheese and caramelised onion. The filling of savory crepe not that nice - goats cheese was left in large chunks and not prepared well I also got the banoffee crepe with pecans instead of almonds. The sweet crepe was dripping in sauce and the whipped cream was runny. Just very unappealing and unappetising. Both sweet and savory crepes were served cold, though they were meant to be hot. Had one cocktail which tasted nice but was was very strong/overpowering at the same time, when a cocktail is not meant to taste strong and unbearable Would not recommend at all. Would never return.
