STOP for a second and read this folks let papa tell you a tale of two best friends in search of a meal fit for a man turning 35 (but doesn’t look a day over 21!). I had come here on a recommendation with my BF (best friend) who was singing its praises and we both had the day off so decided to go for a spot of lunch.
TANGENNNNNT: don’t make the same mistake as us and drive here we paid congestion charge AND a hefty £14 for an hour of parking on a Wednesday which was a punch to the gut which we weren’t quite expecting on an empty stomach. We hobbled in (I was on crutches) and were greeted with a smile so warm it could have boiled a small cup of tea. We were under time pressure because of the god forsaken parking but service was prompt. They had the lunch menu which looked like a good deal but we went for the main menu - no expense spared for my best boy!
We got a glass noodles and rice to share and my bf got the KFC and I got the other chicken with the veg (forgot the name but check the pic). My mouth was watering and after a short wait, food was served! That first bite was liquid euphoria I haven’t experienced flavour like that since the great summer of ‘98. Each bite just got better it was so consistent. I had a bite of the KFC too that slapped harder than my Arabic teacher when I forgot my lines. The portions were perfect to satisfy 2 guys in their prime with healthy appetites. We both got the bong bong grape juice which compliments the chicken so well. If we had more time I would have hung around for a bit and checked out their iced tea. It’s a nice place to hang with people coming for work lunches I imagine, great for small groups and even dates. They have cool LEGO figurines and artwork that pays homage to various comics which was also a nice touch there’s never really a dull moment, with plenty to fix your eye on when looking around. We asked for the bill and I didn’t bother looking at the price but from the menu I vaguely recall prices were reasonable considering what you’re getting, the location, and obviously they have the lunch menu I was talking about.
To top it off, as we were paying, the super nice lady said to my bf “thanks for coming back” which really made his bday. You don’t get personal touches in customer service like that anymore you just don’t! We walked back to the car with 2 mins to...

I recently visited a Korean restaurant called "seoule09" with a friend of mine who used to live in Korea, and unfortunately, my experience left me underwhelmed. While I had expected high hopes for an authentic and enjoyable dining experience since the rating is good. the restaurant fell short in terms of attentive customer service and exorbitant prices.
Let's start with the customer service. From the moment we entered the restaurant, the women who server seemed disinterested and inattentive. It took her quite a while to acknowledge our presence and seat Throughout the meal, it was challenging to get her attention when we needed something even tho there only few people. such as looking for water or additional condiments. This lack of attentiveness significantly impacted my overall impression of the restaurant.
Moreover, the prices at were simply unjustifiable. While I understand that quality comes at a cost, the prices here seemed unreasonably high for what was being offered. The portion sizes were rather small, leaving me unsatisfied after paying a hefty bill. It felt as if I was paying a premium for the restaurant's name rather than the quality or quantity of the food itself.
In conclusion, my visit to this place left me disappointed. The restaurant's customer service was lackluster, with inattentive staff members who seemed not interested. Additionally, the prices were exorbitant, considering the portion sizes and overall dining experience. I regret to say that I will not be returning to this place and cannot recommend it to others looking for an enjoyable and reasonably priced Korean...
Read moreReally good food, and a nice venue.
We went here for a date night, and the first time we'd been out since lockdown. The hosts seemed a little anxious, but that's not surprising since this was their first busy night since opening (right at the end of lockdown), and they were very eager to please; they were very friendly and helpful throughout. The menu is limited, but that works in Seoul90's favour: they focus on making the food really good. We ordered the Korean Fried Chicken, Tokbul Pot, Dumplings and Rice, with one plum and one honey citron tea. The chicken was exceptionally crispy, and the sauce was delicious, and not too spicy. The beef in the tokbul pot was perfectly juicy and flavourful, and the broth was also very good. The dumplings were crispy, and very nicely sized, and the rice was genuinely good enough to eat on its own, and an ideal combination of fluffy and sticky. Our entire meal came to around £37, including drinks and service charge, and it was more than enough food for two people. The restaurant has a nice post-modern decor, which was relaxed and friendly. It isn't huge from what I saw (though I do not know if there is a downstairs), but they haven't packed it full of tables and chairs (maybe due to social distancing), so there is plenty of space. Overall, we really enjoyed it, and would...
