On Friday 23rd September 2022, I booked a table for 2 for the bottomless brunch for Saturday 24th September 2022 starting at 2.45pm.
Please see the booking confirmation email below and charges paid for the booking. I am disappointed that it's been 3 days since I have booked and nobody has got in touch with me to apologise for taking the booking when the pub was closed.
We arrived at the restaurant at 2.40pm on Saturday 24th September, having travelled from outside London just to attend the brunch. The restaurant was closed, no member of staff or public visible at the property and nobody answered the telephone.
As I am sure you can appreciate, we spent quite a lot of time travelling into London from Surrey to attend the bottomless, only to find out that the pub was shut! By 2.45pm, it was too late to book a brunch at another location, which meant we had to spend quite a lot of time trying to find somewhere else to go, which ruined our evening!
Why would you allow your guests to book via your website if the restaurant is closed? If the restaurant had to close due to unforeseen circumstances, would it not be polite to ring or email your guests? (if not on the day then at least 2 days later).
£10 was charged to my card and do I assume that the £10 is just going to stay with your...
Read moreThe Whitecross Tap is situated on a lovely street with street art and other restaurants. It’s a wee bit off the beaten path from the place most tourists end up, which is frankly a good thing.
The interior is comfortable and the service was friendly and helpful. My friend and I were happy to catch a football game on the telly and enjoy some pizza and a pint.
The pizza was better than average for what you might expect at a pub. It was tasty and no frills. I think the pizza dough could stand to be improved, but still a solid 4/5 stars. It came with its own cutter which was as novelty. I kind of enjoyed being able to curate the size of slices.
I think my favorite moment was when three older local gents came in and were having a chatter. It isn’t just a pub catering to the young hipsters (though a group of them did come in). The mix of people ultimately gave it a more comfortable vibe and made me feel much more at home. Also if the older local gents still come to it that is probably a good sign.
So if you’re traveling and want a pub that will feel relaxed and comfortable and make you feel at home, I highly recommend the...

It's right on the edge of too new for me but I was drawn in by the confidence in the moder character & I found a new age classic pub for this generation. Clean, shiny parquet floor, large open space across a well proportioned bar. There's a new heritage blend from the vintage windows to the wood panelled feature wall adorned with bright, colourful drinkbalia. Knowledgeable, patient service of a good range of craft & tap. A good variety of seating includes cushioned high beaches & fresh deep leather sofa. Large screens of sports, well balanced sounds create a buzz for a range of groups of friends. A pop culture style that's easy,...
