Big up yourselves Shake Shack Clapham!
I didn't want to review after my first visit because I wanted to be sure that my experience wasn't atypical. So I visited a few more times and with each occasion I became all the more pleasantly surprised at the consistency in high levels of customer service. Seriously, this team works like a dream, supportively led by a really cool guy, who I believe is the store manager Razak (I could have the spelling wrong as I only glimpsed his name on his hat). In terms of the food, take my word for it, it is outrageously' delicious and has made me into somewhat of an addicted hypocrite (let me explain). For years I have told my two teenage sons how bad fast food is for them and have led by example by them never seeing me eat from a fast food restaurant in over 10 years. Well, (I should be ashamed to say, but I'm not), I've had a Shack Meister and lemonade several times a week for the last few months. I'm not a fries kinda girl but they are absolutely THE BEST you're going to get, so I push the boat out once a week. Actually my very picky, autistic son has critiqued Shake Shack fries and given them the 'green light' and now orders two portions at a time. I won't detail everything my family have ordered and loved; though I'd say everything is worth a try but the crispy shallots in the Shack Meister have me under arrest!! With all that said.... I just want to revisit the outstanding team members and give a special shout out to 'Posan' (hope I've got his name right) for impeccable customers service, friendliness and patience when I made mistakes in my orders or repeatedly changed them. Finally, I love the 2 for 1 offers the have for students Mon-Wed (through Unidays) and the NHS/Blue light 2For1. What's not to love about Shake...

Imagine… walking into a restaurant, when’re everyone knows your name. As you push open the revolving doors of mystery, you are greeted by juxtaposition of environments. The frightfully cold, dark and damp streets of Clapham is met with a breathtakingly warm scent of flame grilled hamburgers.
As you meander through the establishment, you are greeted by friendly servers and a warming smile, only too eager to ensure you have the ultimate dining experience.
“Can I take you order sir? Certainly we have do that for you? Would you like some sauces with your burger?”
Now this… is fine dining. With endorphins high and the face of a Cheshire Cat, you know this is a place where you can feel accepted.
As you get lost, transfixed by others having the most incredible dining experience, laughing, socialising and enjoying their feast, you dream back to a distant life you once knew.
Aghast! A flash! The automated artificial intelligence counter shifts your name from “preparing” to “ready”, while the whole kitchen breaks down into ceremony. They treat you like royalty; like one of their own.
You collect your meal and sit down, ready to tuck into a night to remember. Lifting the cheesey burgery goodness, you inhale the smells, and subsequently inhale the burger.
Words won’t do justice to try and explain the smorgasboard of sensations you have propelled into your senses.
Just thank me when you do go and know that Shakeshack is a place you...
Read moreShake Shack is definitely one of my favourite burger chains. I went there around noon, and there wasn't a single customer, so the entire restaurant was very clean, and the décor was bright and welcoming.
This time, I ordered the SmokeShack, but the bacon was overly salty, which masked all the other flavours. The beef patty was overcooked, making it too tough, and I really regretted not ordering the ShackBurger instead.
I also tried the current promotion, the Thai Tea milkshake, and the green curry fries. The milkshake didn't taste like Thai tea at all; it was just a mix of milk and cream. The fries were over-fried, making them crispy but lacking the fluffy texture that fries should have inside. The green curry sauce was decent, but more sauce would have improved the dish.
The highlight of the meal was my special drink, the dragonfruit pomegranate lemonade, which was tangy and refreshing, perfect for a...
