⚠️⚠️This is a second occasion I have been ripped off at Edgware branch and I am still very upset about it. I have attached a photo of my receipts.
Today I ordered 6 Algerian chicken wings (£6.49) to take away and guess what? There were only 5 in the bag when I put them on the plate at home!! That means I paid £1.30 for ONE chicken wing today😡😡
Few days ago I ordered 9 Algerian chicken wings (£9.49) to take away, opened the bag at home and there were only 8 pieces in it!!! So, on that occasion I spent £1.19 per chicken wing😤. I mentioned this first SlamBurger's shortcoming to my server today and he has apologised to me. Yet nobody really double checked whether I have been given out the correct number of Algerian chicken wings (6).
[☝Edgware branch also offers 3 chicken wings for £3.49 = £1.16 per chicken wing👈]
Above described shortcomings occurr to me to be done DELIBERATELY in order to drive SlamBurger's profits high💷 💷 💷. I may not be the only one customer affected so far. I feel the need to share my unpleasant experience and make others aware.⚠️⚠️
I am extremely disappointed about how this business had been conducted on these two particular visits. I do not feel as valued customer and certainly I am not reordering in the future again. SlamBurger was my teenager's pick, not even mine.
NB Pro-rata refund would be welcomed and fair. Thank you in advance for your consideration. I am looking forward to your reply in...
Read moreWas excited to try this joint as I enjoyed eating from the branch in Birmingham. But unfortunately was not happy with what we received and ate on our visit.
We ordered a beef burger and chicken burger meals and some chicken poppers/popcorn. As you can see from the burger, meat should not look like that if it’s fresh. What’s happened here is it has been cooked and left in a pot with the lid closed which has cause the steam to release water and the patty to sit in that water for a while and lose its flavour and bubble up and taste like meat water. The patty must have Atleast been sitting for around 30 mins in a pot. If a burger is cooked and served immediately, it will have a charcoal look on it and you’ll be able to see some oil on the actual patty.
I approached the staff and there were both managers present, I showed them the burger and they immediately changed it for me, which was expected. Unfortunately when the new burger came, it was the exact same thing. At this point you just want to save them the embarrassment so you don’t mention anything to them. Really disappointed with that.
The best thing we enjoyed that day was Algerian sauce and the chicken poppers (which are most likely outsource and not made fresh) which is a shame as had high expectations for this burger joint. Can’t remember total spend amount
Doubt we would be revisiting, but hope they improve as it’s a good franchise and a good location that has...
