Been coming to zen bhudda since lock down and have been a regular. Recently the service has become awful rude waiters and had to wait over an hr and a half for the food to come upon collection. Waited at restaurant for 35 mins to get food whilst the restaurant is empty.
Response from the owner a week ago Hi Darshni, thank you for your feed back, we do apologise that you was unsatisfied with our service . However you called 3 times to the restaurant, 1st time was enquiring wether we could cater for 15 people as takeaway. We replied you yes and happily to do so. 2nd time you called and said we may come in the restaurant to eat in, but was not sure and will call back. The 3rd time you called, it was our most busiest period, it may seem to be not busy in the restaurant but there were other take out order and eat in order all lined up before yours. And you decided that you wanted to do a takeaway order instead of eat in and to cater for 15 people. That was not a problem as we are happily to do it for you, but we did advice you as it’s a big order it will take OVER an hour and you agreed. Your order was taken at 18.06. You came to the restaurant to pay at 19.15. We do appreciate and do apologise that you had to wait a little longer when coming in to pick your takeout . But Please understand that we are not a fast food restaurant where food is made before hand. Each individual dishes is freshly cooked. Like said before, we did advise you that your take away order will take over a hour and you happily agreed. We Thank you for your time & We do hope to see you again Im unsure how to reply to the review. However In this review I wasn't referring to the order mentioned above by the owner. (the order which the restaurant has commented on) the order referred to in the r reply was placed around a year ago.
Im referring to the order placed on 07/10/2023 at 6:01pm the restaurants said to pick the food up at 6: 40 - i came at that time However was sat waiting in the restaurant till 7: 28. where the waiting staff were rude when waiting for the food and speaking in Gujarati about me (which I can understand).
Nevertheless the actual food was good - although some items had gone hard and cold in the wait.
I understand the restaurant wants to provide fresh food however could've told me to come later to pick up the food and had better customer service once they realised the order will not be...

It was definitely their food because I didn't eat anything else prior to my food poisoning experience which was extreme diarrhoea.
I initially decided to not leave a negative review, since being an ethical vegan, I like to help support vegan businesses. However, on my 4th visit, I mentioned food poisoning to the waiter who is a young skinny Indian man (I don't know his name). My 4th experience was so bad, I want to break it down below.
I got food poisoning with diarrhoea 5 times, with undigested food (3rd previous visit). If a child with a poor immune system or an elderly person got the same food poisoning as me, they could have died. I got no apology from the waiter on behalf of the restaurant nor from the manager or chef. The waiter tried to shift the blame on me by asking if I had any food allergies. Food allergies don't cause symptoms of food poisoning. I was gracious enough to not leave a 1 star review or take legal action, but when I ordered a collection, I didn't get a 20% discount that customers get for spending over £20. There should have been two separate bills. One for the eat in and one for the collection/take out. Instead, I got one bill There was a service charge of 12%. The Indian waiter deliberately put the two transactions together into one receipt, so he could charge me 12% service charge on £89 instead of roughly £50 When I got home to eat my take out, there was no vegan prawn crackers when there usually always is. Indian waiter didn't ask if I wanted my change, which is the polite thing to do, even if it was only 4p.
The food tastes kind of dirty, and is loaded with excessive amounts of salt and what is with the celery in every dish?
I strongly advise anyone to AVOID this restaurant, especially if you have a weak immune system, a child or elderly person, as the food poisoning made me feel extremely weak and drained. If you have read my review and visit the restaurant, then get food poisoning, don't say I didn't warn you.

Read moreAfter hearing about so many good things about the food in Lovinghut We finally decided to pay a visit on Valentine's Day for the Lunch. And We reserved a table in advance just in case as We were traveling from Watford specially to try the food. I was completely taken by surprise the way we were welcomed. We were told that there's no food in the Buffet and if We want to eat We'll have to order from the Menu. If not We will have to come back in the evening. (And that was an hour before they shut the lunch buffet) It was first time in my life that We were treated in such a rude manner but We still went inside to see what We can get. After traveling for almost an hour I was hungry and hugely disappointed the way the Waiter approached us. But then We realized that he's been arguing with so many other Customers too forcing them to pay when there's no food in the buffet. Not to mention that he was so loud and rude and absolutely out of order. People were waiting with empty plates and he was charging them with the full price. When they refused to pay the full price as there were not enough food he got extremely rude. Who ever was there yesterday for Valentine's lunch would confirm my review and I was beyond surprised .After Waiting there for almost 15 minutes with no one returning us to take our orders , We decided to leave with No Food. This restaurant doesn't deserve even one star unfortunately and they need to learn how to treat their customers with respect. It's not like People go there to eat their food for free!
