Spice Hut Stratford — Restaurant in London

plenty of this particular brand chain of stores about in east london. tried this store a few times now - sadly a bit hit and miss, some of their other stores do the same dishes quite a bit better which tells you this place needs to try and perform like their sister stores. shop has modern decor, inviting and a pleasant spacious space to eat. sometimes there is an odd pong in the air - turn on your extractor fans maybe? ive ordered a few times from here now. the last order was the mix donner they serve freshly baked nan bread with their foods which is great, but the actual donner wasnt prepared correctly (missing some of the ingredients) so a bit disappointing and forgettable. chicken was also a little dry. they also had this odd thing were they advertise a 'whole' chicken but its actually just leg pieces x4 (a bit misleading and scrimping on their purchasing costs i guess). visit here if youre desperate for a bite to eat and everywhere else is closed otherwise theres just too much choice in...

Lovely spice hut decent size as well with many seats. Normally some branches are hut and miss with food quality (excuse the pun) but this one is definetly up there as the better ones.

The food was great and all the things you would typically get i.e. Donner wings chips biryani were of good quality.

For the Bengalis and spice lovers out there I asked the guy for very hot with chillies and he did deliver it was very spicy and I enjoyed it a lot. This is very important as other spice huts don't put as much effort in and don't meet their spice lovers requirement on heat.

All in all the venue is nice, some parking out front at certain times and side streets and the food is great plus they do smash burgers and a little dessert section called....yes you guessed it cream hut. These new additions are welcome and taste good!

4/5 because nothing is really perfect spice hut still lacks flavour on certain things on menu so that is the only reason I've given 4...

I ordered a lamb donor, my friend ordered one piece chicken and chips meal, as she opened her so called chicken breast she ordered it was so hard yet sweaty and hard pinkish colour, so we called one of servers showed him he gave another same shxx, by now my friend is annoyed because she didn't want to be complaining no more she asked the guy to give her a chicken burger, meanwhile I have started eating my donor, within seconds I realised how flipping salty this donor was, I asked my friend to try she tried one and she said don't eat that no more, had to call one of the waiter's to try a bit himself he said no I trust you guy's he was advised to report this to management also he mentioned something about extra charges because its now a chicken so before we left I went to the counter and asked how much difference we owe they looked at each other and said its OK, very disappointed with this branch of spice hut, I come from the area they opened...
