well pretty much nothing Disliked • I booked For 1 night stay as it was rated as 8.1, I was in Westfiend and it was close-10 min in a cab, not 10 min walking like the property page says on booking arrived 7.30 pm tired and hungry ,looking forward to eating and a drink at bar as booking page said food was available till 220.00 and their was a bar. I was greeted by the man at reception to be told the food was until 5, I said well booking says till 22.00 and the answer I got was that he would review that . In the mean time I asked where we could eat as we had no way back to westfield and Grill across road was highly recommended everything there fresh, "very fresh " was comment- its greasy Turkish kebab. No bar here as advertised The first thing to great us in our room was THE SMELL the second was the filth of the carpet , the third was the window hanging off its hinge, and the 4th was TV didn't work . On return from Grill I told the man that the food was awful and that I reviewed again booking.com page in relation to his food offering at which point he started screaming at me , "do we say on booking we do food" , "do we say anything about this" at which point I said yes you do, I asked for wifi code and left reception. later I returned to request a remote as ours was not working and to ask for additional pillow, their was only 1 pillow for each person , two would be expected in an 8.1 rated place. 2 hours later the pillow arrived , I looked at it and removed the cover and the pictures attached do not need any explanation, it was unbelievable . False advertising at this property I didn't not sleep all night thinking about stain pillow, refused a coffee in morn , it was additional charge even though I paid for breakfast, unbelievable. DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO SLEEP ON 10 YEAR OLD PILLOW AND PAY FOR BREAKFAST BUT EXTRA FOR COFFEE AND EXTRA FOR FULL ENGLISH

Not a Stay I’d Recommend – Loud, Outdated, and Far from Relaxing I stayed at this hotel for a week, and unfortunately, it was not a pleasant experience. The pictures online already didn’t look convincing, yet they still managed to be the best thing about the place. The rooms are extremely noisy and outdated. The walls are so thin that I could hear everything happening next door, and the doors often triggered alarms at night—waking me up multiple times whenever someone in the hallway opened theirs. Sustainability is great, but keeping furniture for eternity doesn’t exactly contribute to comfort. After a long day, you want to relax—not feel like you’ve stepped into a time capsule of worn-out decor and creaky beds. And the windows? So thin that I now know way too much about the guy who waits for the 4:30 AM bus outside every morning. Light sleepers, beware! After a week of sleepless nights and an overall uncomfortable stay, I can confidently say: I would not recommend this hotel.

The room was quite decent for a 3 star hotel although I think the sofa was unnecessary as the room was already small. Also has heater for room, heater in the bathroom to dry the clothes and kettle for boiling water. The shower was great with good pressure. I was given the first floor room and generally was abit skeptical about it but nothing happened so it was great. Location is near Stratford Railway and has alot of halal restaurants nearby so it is convenient for Muslim travelers. It is also about 5-10 mins walk from Westfield or from Stratford shopping centre. Housekeeping was good and proper.

Good and bad points here so will give full overview. Female receptionist on arrival clearly didn't want to be there, I don't belive a customer facing role is her forte as she was abrupt, did not greet us simply stared at us as we walked in, she provided no information unless prompted and the only begrudging half smile given was as we walked away. The poster on the counter advising No ID, No Stay may have coloured our encounter also as both this and the ladies subtle charms gave the hotel a bad atmosphere. It appears that the receptionist lives at the hotel and works more than legal working hours, possibly the reason for the poor outlook so I can give a little leeway on this. However to be woken multiple nights by her and her family banging doors and arguing in the hallway, not to mention (I assume) her children screaming in their room past 10.30pm, is beyond belief. An obligatory sorry in the hallway after investigating the reason for all the noise is unacceptable. There are PAYING guests in the building! There was a brief encounter with another male receptionist and the cleaners who were more than friendly but this does not make up for the lack of service provided by the primary member of staff. The room is warm and the bathroom clean however the cushion provided is heavily stained (bit worrying) and the hoover for my floor appears to be broken. There is no cleaning service provided during your stay simply before arrival, though cleaning trollies have kindly been left in the hallway on every floor so if you need a fresh towel or more tea one assumes you simply help yourselves. The lock and handle for the bathroom door appear to be fitted by someone who doesn't understand that a 6' screw will not adequately secure a fitting to a 3' door. The toilet seat lid seems to want to hug its guest, though, I was grateful for the attention after the coldness from reception. The TV in the room I was staying in was not 100%, not all channels work. As with previous posts the lift doesn't work so if you consider staying bear this in mind. Similarly, as others have said, the traffic for the rooms at the front is loud, I'm sure that, if fortunate enough to be in a room with a working lock mechanism on the window this would be reduced. Location is great for us but I won't return and I wouldn't recommend. After viewing reviews from others on here I imagine there will be a standard response inviting me to email OYO with further details so to pre-empt, this will be...

Read the update below to understand what you are getting into if you are having any issues whatsoever and need support. Do yourself a favour and don't bother booking with this company, even if the price seems attractive, it simply is not worth it! The runaround, waste of time and complete lack of understanding (don't know enough English perhaps, or don't care?) if you have any problems cannot be overstated.

Original review: Don't be fooled into thinking you have a reservation, when the company can just cancel it on you! I received a confirmation email, which stated that the room could be paid at arrival, while it also contained a link that stated that it was possible to pay prior to arrival "for your convenience". I took this to mean that I had a choice in how to pay. However, the day before arrival, I received a message that my reservation for the London Stratford Epsilon Hotel had been cancelled, and I ended up scrambling for a replacement at the last minute. I am a frequent traveller, and this has never happened before - either a hotel offers reservations on a 6pm hold, meaning you either arrive before 6 or risk losing your reservation unless you confirm it with a credit card. Or, they request a confirmed reservation right away. But accepting a reservation and then just cancelling it? Cannot recommend.

UPDATE as of October 29th, 2019 - after the personal response to this review, oyo customer service has emailed me a total of nearly 14 (in words FOURTEEN) times, always saying the same, asking me for my phone number, but then sending me an email advising me that they are "unable to reach me" and require a different number. My phone is on my desk right across from where I sit to work, nearly 24/7, and nobody else has any problems calling me, including from overseas. So they just try to wear you down - there obviously is no desire whatsoever to actually resolve anything, they are just waiting for you to get so fed up you no longer respond to their emails of "we can't reach you". Here's an idea, sendin an email to say we can't reach you???? Why not just resolve the issue via email So, if you are having any issue you are trying to resolve, know what you would be...
