Blue River Cafe — Restaurant in London

This used to be a decent place, but the main fella serving has become progressively ruder over the years. Very dismissive attitude and patronizing tone when speaking to customers. Food is decent but the prices keep climbing up. Got told it's £2 to add an extra egg for a full breakfast and when I questioned why so high for just an egg, then he complained about the extra gas he'd have to use to cook the extra egg. Silly considering they'd already be cooking a full breakfast and there'd be no excess extra gas consumed whilst frying an additional egg at the same time, but he thinks he can just tell me any old rubbish about extra gas to warrant such a large hike for a flippin egg! Was £1 for an extra egg last year and now it's doubled. The question is, if the price of an extra egg had doubled from £1 to £2, then why hasn't the price for full English breakfast doubled since last year? Will never go back in this shop and he lost a regular over being way too greedy! Making my full English myself now with much higher quality...

I was recently transferred to Stratford for business and I've been using Blue River Cafe most days. As I generally work away from home most days, I do tend to visit many places and this is definitely one of my faves. Food and drink has always been amazing - the lattes they sell are not only very good value for money, but I've started buying the same brand coffee beans for my own machine at home. The staff are very friendly, and always up for a quick chat if it's not too busy. It seems to be very popular with the locals and you can see why. Don't be disheartened if it looks very busy... it will be worth the wait. I just wish it was closer to home, as I don't live anyway near East London. 5...

I went in for a breakfast take away and the lady who took my order was so polite and kind, what a lovely person. My breakfast was made so fast, the man who bought it to me took time to make polite conversation with me and my son, even gave my son a lollipop.
