RESPONSE TO SPICE8: Thankyou for the response but we will pass. For us it's not just the food but the experience also, and additionally treating a customer with respect when they raise the issue. This isn't about freebies or getting discounts. Thank you anyway.
I went with my family, and despite having available seats, I was informed that it will take 45 minutes to serve (what is essentially fast street food in India) because they were "prioritising" a large order. Some of the food was good, which is why I gave it 2 stars but only some of it. The service and atmosphere were tacky, though, and the excuses/ reasons never ended. Despite having 4 people in the kitchen, it took a lot of time to serve us, but as it is a new outlet, I wanted to give it a chance. The finale was when I found a stone (photo attached) in the samosa chaat. I raised this with the lady at the front who, although, came across as friendly, said it wasn't there's. Then how did it get in there. Her explanation at the end was that it is because the oil was not clean in the frier, and this is something over fried. Being Indian ourselves we know about Indian food and this was perhaps the lamest reason I came across. I came in with positive thoughts and left disappointed. If they claim they cook it fresh so it takes time to serve, I find this hard to believe as they are unhygienic and do not...

Read moreI recently visited the Spiice 8 in Ealing that specializes in Indian street food, and I must say, their pav bhaji is exceptional. The flavors were spot on, with the perfect balance of spices and a rich, buttery texture that makes each bite irresistible.
I also had the pleasure of trying their locho, a lesser-known Gujarati snack. This steamed gram flour delicacy was soft and fluffy, topped with a blend of spices. The combination of textures and flavors was both comforting and exciting.
Additionally, it was my first time trying dabeli, and it quickly became one of my favorites. The sweet and tangy flavors, combined with the crunch of peanuts and pomegranate, created a delightful explosion of taste and texture. It's now a must-buy for my next visit.
The ambiance of the place is cozy and welcoming, making it an ideal spot for a quick and satisfying meal. The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall pleasant dining experience. If you're in Ealing and craving some authentic Indian street food, this place is a must-visit for their delicious pav bhaji and...
