Updated 2/3/2024 A delightful cafe just off the shopping centre serving all day brakefast and a lot more beside. The guys who run Spuds have always given each customer a friendly welcome. and get to know your likes ,if like me you keep coming back as I have done for years It is so nice to have whole button mushrooms and real fried tomatoes with your meal and not that diced offering or tined muck you get. Even my fried eggs are hard cooked just the way I like it . An oasis to chill out and to enjoy the food Long way it be so . Searing round 50 Only disadvantage is that a wheelchair user would have difficulty using the toilet.

I was going to get some Asian food, but as I was walking past Spuds I suddenly fancied a jacket potato. Really glad I stopped by. I had a tasty spud, cheese and beans and a really good coleslaw and salad with it. Also got a bottle of water and it was under 9 quid total. The guy serving was really friendly and the place was really chill. Nothing fancy but then you don't always fancy fancy if you know what I mean!

Always greeted with a smile, been going to grab food at Spuds for years. Lovely breakfast, happy to do specials on top of their normal breakfasts

I love this place and have done since my uni days. It's probably the only real cafe left in the town centre serving jacket potatoes with various fillings as it did when it was Spud u Like, the first healthy fast food chain for trend setters, as well as a selection of all day breakfasts, tea, coffee, soft drinks, toast, sweet items such as caramel shortbread, muffins, kit kat, mars bars and not forgetting baguettes and sandwiches. Even when I cannot afford to eat out I will sing their praises. Great place to meet and chat with friends...
