I went in for a pizza. Let’s be honest the pizza is nice, not the best, not wow, just nice. Do not order the starters, rarely people do there and it looks really awful. The customer service is really bad to awful. The waitress spends more time acting busy rather than helping customers. For £10.94 you will get a better pizza with far better toppings from a chicken shop. You are paying to sit down in a fancy dead quiet library like restaurant.
Good News: Really clean, always 80% empty, never packed, no bookings needed. The staff really flirts and talks to customers they really like for at least 10-15 minutes. But if they don’t like you, they will avoid you at every cost and you will notice that. You can sit there undisturbed for at least 30-45 minutes and get work done, no one will bother you at your table. It's literally a free library at the beginning. Massive upstairs seating.
Bad News: The waiter in the black t-shirt is truly hopeless. I asked him where is the toilet, he told me to ask the other staff member by pointing at them, as if explaining indirectly go away. I went to ask the staff, she told me she was busy as she pressed away at the till and carried on talking to her colleague. I found my own way to the toilet. The manager in the fancy shirt will take 10-20 minutes to find a card machine for you to pay for the pizza. The key word is when he says one moment, that gives you a free 25 minutes to sit, chill, play games, kill time, or wait around, or use the toilet and have a walk. The manager took super long just to bring a card machine to you. It's really not hard to eat a pizza and get up, leave and not pay. I would not recommend that but none of the staff will have any idea what's going on. The starters look awful, you can see the waitress cut up the starters and cough into her hands or check her phone many times. I would not recommend the starters. Be prepared if you need anything, get up and chase the customer service, bothering them, around the ground floor to get an answer or to put an order in.
Positives; The staff would be great in a game of Hide, clean and seek. A Great place to work in silence like a chilled vibey library. Literally, no one will bother you. The staff are great at cleaning knives and chatting in the back. You get great cardio because To order, you have to chase them up. To pay, you have to chase them up. The pizza takes 20-30 minutes to get to you. The staff take about 20-30 minutes to serve you. Please don’t give them a tough order, because they really can’t handle that. If you want to pay, you have to again get off your seat and chase down to pay. They will say one moment, it's a lie,
Great place to work, if you want a chilled out job. Great place to study or when you need silence. Nice pizza. Clean facilities Great place for cardio, or to kill time and chill. I went to the toilet, had a walk around the restaurant. Gave it 25 minutes. Came back. And then you wait for him to bring the card machine. It was 3.45pm on a weekday with about 9 customers. The customer service is really slow and awful. But they are great at cleaning, my god they need to be hired as cleaners. I saw one waiter flirt with a married women whilst spending 25 minutes spraying 1 table. Imagine how much he cares about cleaning that 1 table, then doing that to all the tables. He is hopeless in taking orders, anytime you ask him a question or can i make an order he points at another staff to go to them. However, he is great at flirting with the female customers. Overall, pizza was nice. Not the best, not worth it. By far the worst franco manca restaurant in the chain, mostly let down by the staff not really caring about their jobs. Get a takeaway, if no other pizza shop is open. Do not forget, that Franco manca charges you for an Optional Customer service tip. That's the tip for bringing the food on a plate from the kitchen oven to your table, the water you get for free, and how each knife and fork is polished 20 times, that’s what you are paying for. Overall you can do...

I have visited many Franco Manca chains and never had an issue but Kingston was a huge let down.
I’ll start by the front of house lady/manager. As soon as we walked in, we asked for a table for 3 politely and she rolled her eyes and walked us to our table without saying anything. Then just pointed to our table and walked away.
The server was just purely rude and very odd. We would ask for a spare knife but was not acknowledged at all but would literally come back over 10 minutes later with a knife. A little bit too late for that when we had to go to another table and ask for one of their spare knifes.
Furthermore, 3 separate sets of tables were seated after us and they just walked out and I don’t blame them as from being seated to just ordering took 20 minutes. I wish we had just walked out.
The food, I can not fault. The food was absolutely amazing like always but the customer service needs a massive improvement!! However, don’t order dessert because they handle your food without gloves are washing their hands before or after touching your food.
Trying to pay the bill took a further 15 minutes and when asked to remove the service charge (well I’m not paying for service that I didn’t receive). The odd server just tutted and muttered something under his breathe.
Then to top it off, 20 minutes before we left an older guy came in and wanting a table and instead of shown to his seat was just pointed to it (same as what happened to us). The gentleman’s table was dirty and not wiped down and he has to ask the lady at the front of house to clean the table. After 20 minutes, the poor gentleman was just standing at his table waiting for someone to clean it.
I had to step in and ask her to clean his table and remind her how long he has waited. Her response, wait for it. She pointed at the cutlery and the table cleaner and just smiled, in assumption that I should clean the table and then tried to pass me the cleaning products for me to do it! Absolutely shocking behaviour!!
Avoid the Kingston Branch, they truly don’t represent the true company and the great service I have received from...
Read moreHello, I came this evening a few hours ago to the restaurant with my friend. Since we are Italian and regular customers, we come every weekend to enjoy some hot Italian pizza. We came in the evening time and the waiter greeted us at the door with a great smile. We asked for a table for two, and within a minute the waiter arrived. he prepared a table for us and we sat near the kitchen. Then we ordered pizza and salad, and the other waiter (the blond boy) was with us. He was very nice, like his colleague. Then the pizza arrived and everything was great. We were eating and enjoying our pizza, and then something happened that caught my attention. There was a customer shouting at the waiter in an unethical voice, “Excuse me,” while the waiter was carrying many dishes in his hands, which made it clear that he was busy. When the waiter went back and the customer spoke to him, but he tried to talk to her while he continued his work, but here the matter shocked me and made me I wanted to intervene very much. The woman went to the manager and spoke to her, but it seemed that the manager did not have enough experience to understand what happened at first. The woman was talking because she think she’s was right, but she was rude, and when the waiter came to talk to the woman the manager started pushing the waiter and told him to go. He was trying to clarify his position. This situation bothered me a lot, and what bothered me most was that the manager did not respect her employee even though he had not done anything wrong, and the woman was very rude. I would just like to say that it is not okay to treat your employees in a disrespectful manner. Respecting them and standing with them in such situations indicates their sincerity in their work and diligence. I hope the restaurant management treats their employees well and is a...
