Starvin Marvin — Restaurant in London

Starvin’ Marvin is an average food spot. In all honesty, underwhelming is probably the most accurate description. Why? Well its mainly down to the presentation online vs the delivered goods. It just doesnt match the price point (Yes, it was ordered on uber eats so I do understand the surcharges) however, the menu on the website isnt far from whats charged online.

If you know west London, you will be familiar with legendary spots like chicken kitchen, smash and slide, Dadas, all of which focus on taste rather than presentation. But does Starvin Marvin live up to the new generation of tiktok fuelled hype? Not really, its basic. Not bad, just satisfactory.

I had the smash burger (Starvin Double)- basic. Nothing you cant get elsewhere for a fraction of the cost. (Pictures enclosed)

The starvin cheesy fries were literally rustic (catering/wholesale) chips with cheap microwaved pizza mozzarella. (Pictures online and mine enclosed)

Chicken mac stack - simple grilled breasts with a tangy jerk sauce (some what flavourful) with a lifeless mac and cheese & Plantain which you cant really get wrong.

If your hungry, its alright.

Ordered from Delieroo. I ordered what looked like a lamb chops meal. It came with rice and sauce in the picture. When they arrived they were dry, with no rice or sauce. My daughter ordered chicken wings, and again, in the picture the chicken wings were served with chips. They came alone, not even with any moisture (guess that costs extra). The mac and cheese was awful, in both taste and size. £26 for a meal for 2 and there wasn't enough food. If you are going to order delivery from here just know that what you see in the pictures is not what you get. Also order some extra sauces, because despite their high prices, not one single pot/sachet of sauce is included. If the lamb chops don't come with rice then don't show them with rice. If the chicken wings don't come with chips, then don't show them with chips! It is deliberately misleading. That way you won't leave your customers...

I have never been so disgusted with a restaurant in my life. Starvin Marvin is an absolute joke. I arrived at their posted opening time, only to find the doors locked and not a single employee in sight. They finally bothered to open up a whole HOUR late, without so much as an apology or explanation.

When the staff finally decided to grace us with their presence, their attitude was beyond unacceptable totally uninterested, unprofessional, and honestly, just plain rude. It’s like they couldn’t care less if customers are standing outside waiting or not. No sense of urgency, no respect, and definitely no pride in their work.

If you want to waste your time, be treated like an inconvenience, and leave even hungrier and angrier than when you arrived, then by all means, try...
