Update: 9.24 sashimi slices are getting smaller and thinner. 1 portion of salmon sashimi is the equivalent to 1 slice compared to 3 years ago when I originally wrote my review. The third picture is of 5 slices (6 slices is 2 portions - I ate 1 slice) next to a gyoza dumpling to give you a perspective of portions.

The cucumber and radish in the salad has shrunk down to a third of the size (smaller than the orignal picture attached).

Service has been gloomy the last few visits. Although, it's not ideal having the staff's children around especially when they're making lots of noise, I certainly appreciate a family owned business who have children.

Where prices were £18.99 3 years ago, they're are now £22.99. Drinks have gone up also (coke was 1.50, now 2.20). All in all, every pound here and there adds to service charge, everything adds up.

As a result we hardly go now (maybe 3x per year) where we used to go weekly. Still worth it if you have a big appetite, sadly we don't these days.

Review from 3 years ago:

Exceptional food and service for a great price. All the food was fresh and served hot. I was nervous about the freshness of the fish as I have allergies, I needn't of worried! The sashimi slices were thick, I'm not sure what I was expecting but they were perfect and tasted very nice.

Most importantly, the choice was abundant and food tasted GREAT.

We've paid double for a lot less in other restaurants and walked away annoyed at portions or service. Super sushi were great for in every category.

My husband and I will definitely be back...

One of my regular favorite spots to visit.

They offer both buffet and a la carte, but i always opt for buffet. Great selection of both hot and cold foods (although salmon sashimi portions could be bigger, they can sometimes be on the small side). I visit with both family and friends on a regular basis as there's a great selection for everyone (my fussy 5 year old eats well here - he opts for rice, chicken skewers, edemame and miso soup as his regular order).

They open for lunch and dinner (closed between 2.30pm - 5pm). Toilets are a bit of a squeeze, and no baby changing facilities (I manage to park quite close and change baby in the car).

They kindly hired out their restaurant for my family and I, to hold my daughter's First Birthday and Baptism celebration here, during their lunch and closed hours (so we didn't impact their busy dinner service). They kindly accommodated our event of approx 60 people (adults and children), allowed me to decorate the restaurant, rearranged the seating and offered the buffet service for all my guests. They kindly offered to have a selection of food already cooked and ready for when we arrived, so my guests wouldn't be waiting long and then we could continue ordering via the buffet service.

I would definitely recommend this place to visit to eat, and now, if you need a place to hold a small event for a few hours, it's definitely...

This has been our go to sushi place for many years now, but most recently they have become overwhelmed I think with the demand, either that or the quality has fallen. Overall you do get good value for your money, they have recently introduced service charge +10%, which is not adequately advertised, and you'll get told if you don't pay it this time you cant come back. Conveniently their card machine has not been working for at least a year - cash only! 🧐

The last couple of time we have been, quality has reduced a lot, seems to be very oily, which is was not before.

We have been going here for years, but I think its time we found a new place, the service is slow at times, they don't often take feedback on board, and the service charge demand when the service was not to great should not be a mandatory - when if it is not mentioned at the time as being compulsory, then it is for sure a discretionary service charge.

I have given two stars as we have been going here for years, since the previous owners. As nice (sometimes) as the most recent owners are, the food quality has fallen. The service is lacking, we went on a Saturday (booked a week in advance) - they sat 6 of us on a 4 seater table - we were on top of each other.

I hope it improves again in the future, and...

The staff are nice, and the food is good. Prices are very competitive; you can get all-you-can-eat sushi for £21.99 each, plus a 10% service charge. Compared to other sushi restaurants, they are very quick, and the prices are good. The chicken katsu, fried gyoza, and prawn tempura were abundant, but the salmon sashimi and salmon teriyaki were very small. I did not particularly like the chicken karaage; it was not crunchy enough and tasted more like nuggets than karaage. I was not happy at all with the white wine offering. There was only one type of white wine available for glass serving, "Plum Wine," which was absolutely undrinkable. I do not recommend it at all. Overall, I recommend the restaurant.

Used to always go to another similar branch of sushi restaurant for sushi buffet, but after finding this we’ve become regulars here instead as the quality is just as good if not better. Also their prices are good and not too expensive, the food is always nice and fresh. Alot of the times we go for the sushi buffet, and that is really worth it. The only suggestion is that they should add back the deep fried oysters on the menu for the sushi buffet, as that was our favourite but sadly they no longer do it with the buffet. It would also be good to have other sashimi options included and not just salmon. We also really enjoy their special sushi rolls and bento. Value for money: 8/10 Food: 8/10
