Ridgeway Park — Attraction in London

GREAT PARK - 2 playground areas, age specific, outdoor gym equipment area, structures for climbing, a zip line and large expanse of 'green' area. You can get a coffee/tea in the 'hut' where you book tennis courts etc. Shame it's not a proper café, they would be inundated with customers! We have to suffice with an ice-cream van vendor who refuses to sell sprinkles or syrup as "they leave mess in the van" 🙄🤦 No harm in having a choice, a café won't stop kids still wanting ice-creams or lollies. No-one should have the monopoly on the selling of food at this park. LBWF, why do you allow it to be so?

They have a miniature steam train which operates at certain times of year. We have seen long queues but disability pain means we can't stand queuing. We asked if there was a way of booking for disabled people, we were told "No!". Happy to say attractions in other boroughs/counties are more obliging ... my child could enjoy herself elsewhere, without being penalised due to a parent's disability! That's why we rated 4 stars instead of 5 - Shame on the train operator's 'spokesperson' !!👎

The park is looked after so very well by the local authority staff ... the "main man"/ groundsman takes so much pride in ensuring the park is looking good for we the public to enjoy - an enormously BIG "thank you" to him & his workmates, "well done!"

It would be nice if there were an area of the park allocated for dog walking, with the remainder being dog free. Whilst owners (nearly) always pick up after their animals, it still leaves mess on the grass. Not nice to see a baby/toddler, or anyone, sit on the grass & find they're covered in remnants of animal faeces. 🤦🤢. We can share without having to be in the same areas,...

The park is mine and my child's first stop after school in spring and summer. We love it. Small guage railway rides most weekends. The railway is always being upgraded but the service rarely suffers delays. Cafe serves the tennis court and all other visitors. Play area needs to be updated as it's beginning to look and feel a little tired. Barely adequate toilets open all year long. At the weekend this is a half days entertainment. I'd give this 5 stars but...

Been coming here for years since i was a baby and it's getting better slowly. They're building more play areas for the kids and they even host concerts every year. The only problem is that the toilets are rarely open and the ice cream van that comes here is over priced and doesn't even offer sweet sauce for the ice creams anymore. Other than that I still love...
