✨ Hidden ice cream gem in North London , worth the hunt! ✨ There are times when you need a good ice cream, and yes, North London has plenty. But this one? This is a hidden gem in every sense. It’s tucked away behind a closed gate, down a little alley that doesn’t look commercial at all... but trust me, it’s worth the mission. This isn’t just another gelato spot. It’s inspired by Argentina, and you can tell, not just in the ice cream, but in the warmth of the person who served me. Super friendly. Super passionate. Now, I don’t give out glowing reviews easily. I’m picky. But this ice cream? It blew me away. Their dulce de leche is honestly one of the best I’ve ever had , rich, creamy, sweet as it should be, just perfect. And there are loads of unique flavours you won’t find elsewhere. They mostly do delivery, but if you’re local, go knock on the door. Even if it’s a bit of a treasure hunt, it’s absolutely worth it.

Really good quality ice cream. I tried the dulce de leche granizado, super dulce de leche, cookies and cream/chocotorta and banana split. They were all full of flavour and creamy. I didn’t find much difference between the two dulce de leche flavours as they didn’t have much added to them. I only got one single tiny bit of chocolate in the dulce de leche granizado and the banana split, which was disappointing. I also got very few bits of cookie bits in the chocotorta flavour. Please add more bits to the flavours! Apart from that, excellent ice cream.

Hands down the best gelato in Hackney! Tried the Pistachio and the Super Dulce de Leche, and both were absolutely incredible. The pistachio was rich, creamy, and packed with flavour — not too sweet, just perfectly balanced. The Super Dulce de Leche, I haven’t had dulce de leche that good in a while — it’s smooth and the caramel is 10/10. TANO easily takes the crown for best ice cream in Hackney. If you’re in the area (or even if you’re not), it’s 100% worth the trip.

Hidden 100/100 gelato spot !!

Independent shop with friendly and passionate owner.

Perfect texture and generous portion !!!

Exceptional flavour: My favourite is the pistachio sobert and cookies and cream. Perfectly balanced out the thickness and milky nature of normal pistachio gelato but kept the rich pistachio flavour!!! The cookies and cream is like nothing I had before, can’t really explain what is it but it’s so good !! The super dulce de luche is a bit too sweet for me. It has 2 monthly special flavour too ! This month is flat white and something either wine xdd. Tried the flat white and it was sooooo gooddddd!! Didn’t order it in the end purely because of “no caffeine after 2pm for me”.

Can’t wait to go back and try...

One of the best gelato’s we’ve had in London, and that’s saying something. The journey of finding it was a whole experience on its own. The flavours were diverse, including monthly specials. Classics such as dark chocolate, also available in sorbet form, were rich, creamy and decadent. And for those looking for unique flavours will also find a variety of options, such as orange matcha sorbet (monthly special) and mixed berries with cream. Additionally, the owner was very friendly and clearly passionate about his job. Highly recommended if in the local area and, if not,...
