Review: A Culinary Delight at Taste of Lahore

My recent dining experience at Taste of Lahore was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the stage for an unforgettable evening.

We began our meal with the Seekh Kebab, which was simply divine. Each bite was bursting with flavor, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. The kebabs had a delightful smokiness that hinted at a masterful use of the grill, making them an absolute must-try.

The Nihari was the star of the show. This rich and aromatic stew was an explosion of spices, tender meat, and deep, complex flavors. It was evident that the chef put immense care and tradition into preparing this dish. Paired with the Stuffed Naan, which was wonderfully soft and filled with deliciously spiced ingredients, the combination was nothing short of heavenly.

To finish off our meal, we indulged in the Kheer. This traditional dessert was creamy, not overly sweet, and had just the right amount of cardamom to give it a delightful fragrance. It was the perfect ending to a perfect meal.

A special mention must go to our waiter, Amit, whose impeccable service elevated our dining experience to another level. Amit was attentive, knowledgeable, and always ready with a warm smile. His recommendations were spot-on, and he ensured that every aspect of our meal was flawless. His professionalism and genuine hospitality made us feel like valued guests, adding a personal touch that is often missing in dining experiences.

In summary, Taste of Lahore offers not just a meal, but a culinary journey that delights the senses. With outstanding food and exemplary service, it’s a place I will eagerly return to and recommend to anyone looking to savor authentic and...

This is my 3rd visit here which should tell you that I really like the food. They do a falooda during the summer months which is just like home. Their kebabs and chicken tikka are also good( the latter being a tad bit dry). There's nothing on the menu makes me want to take off a star for the food. However, and this is very sad, in the service industry- which a restaurant most certainly qualifies as a part of, service is key. That means - a welcoming smile when we enter, someone to check on how the meal has been, a smile when you bring the food to my table. Service is unfortunately very lacking, and I say this having worked at food festivals and food stalls which are much busier environments.

A delay isn't as problematic as making sure there is enough seating at the table you're ushering guests to. Having serviettes at the desk and cutlery before the food I served (this has happened to me on all three occasions). As I'm writing this, a guest came up to me and asked if they could take the mint sauce off my table as we were nearly done but clearly they hadn't been served it.

You're an independent business which I appreciate and value and want to support. Service however...

I have never seen a bad customer service more than this restaurant. Me and my family feel humiliated and we were left shocked by the service we got. I have my niece and nephew with and because this restaurant doesn’t serve kids meal, my sister went to buy chicken and chips from sams because that’s the only thing they eat. My sister brought the food to the restaurant and there comes this guy who works at this restaurant and tells us that we can’t bring food from another restaurant which we had no idea that’s their rules. I told them that we didn’t know and we can’t eat without giving food to the kids but the guy who works there told us to leave the restaurant. I have been top restaurants and I have never seen this kind of treatment. Me and my family will never ever go back to this place again and will not recommend to anyone to go. I have snapchat with over 50k followers and I will definitely share my experience with this place because this is not how it’s run business. And I was also told it’s the manager who made these rules so I just have a few words for the manager : Go back to training as you clearly luck something called customer service!!! Bad service Bad...

The butter chicken is great. the sauce consistency is perfect and the chicken is nice and tender. However, the price has gone up to £8 for quite a small portion. The kebab is a hit and miss tbh. sometimes it is quite chewy and stale, on other days its decent. The grilled chicken is consistently great alongside the salad and garlic mayo, the combo is tasty. the waiters that work are generally quite helpful and kind. however, the cutlery, water jugs and plates are deffo not the cleanest, neither are the toilets. Their card machine has been broken for 5 years now so they take cash only. conveniently, there is an ATM attached to the outside of the store, however not so conveniently, it charges you to take money out. there is parking spaces just behind the store. Also, if you are someone who is intolerant to fizzy drinks, they do not cater. As someone who suffers from IBS, I ask each time if there are any drinks in the meal deal that are not fizzy and no is the answer each time. I would really appreciate it if there was a variety of drinks available, especially for kids.

When I asked where I can eat good curry by a local , I was directed here. The place is full of locals and that says a lot in it self. I tried the lamb curry and it was delicious, fresh and full of flavour. As I was finishing my dish, the table next to me ordered tandoori wings. I had to ask about this dish as it was served on a hot plate, sizzling and I could smell the flavours, it made me hungry again. Highly recommend this place. The serving staff is also very helpful and friendly.

Absolutely rubbish, the worst meal I've ever had. I would not recommend this place. This Restaurant has no idea about good food. The only people happy to eat at this restaurant are people who have no idea what good food should taste like . -10 out of 10 for the biryani. No meat only tasteless boiled rice. Ordered a paneer kathi roll, they served a naan with onion curry and mayo with some pieces of paneer. And they took 35 minutes to serve the food. Unbelievable awful....
