I tried Tasty Barking and the 2 branches in Woolwich, now I tried Finchley area Tasty as it opened recently. Taste of the food I bought was great, I tried their moi moi and meat pie, I was definitely satisfied with their taste. Even though the meat pie; despite me eating it cold, was still moist and not too hard. Meat pie at Woolwich Tasty tends to be quite hard and uneasy to swallow, however Finchley's Tasty meat pie was acceptable. The moi moi comes in 2 forms, one in plastic which is a round container though smaller in size, and the second comes in its traditional banana leaf size. Moi moi in plastic was exceptional, though quite small in size but taste good. My wife bought from the store and as it was not even busy, she ended waiting for almost 15mins just to buy 3 items which was disappointingly, even though she was the only one being served at that moment. They prioritise on delivery orders instead of someone buying and waiting at the counter. I think they had just one commercial microwave, and they were using that to heat up delivery orders. Also price is unreasonable to me. I can understand this is towards Central London, therefore price would be dare, however price is way too costly. Originally meat pie from other places and even other Tasty branch cost £1.50, this branch particularly cost £1.80! It should be around £1.70. Moi Moi in the banana leaf cost £2.50. It felt as if they are the only Nigerian takeaway or restaurant in Finchley, as there are no competitors for them, they used this opportunity to charge quite a lot for their meals. Though Tasty opening a branch near Central London is beneficial for Africans around Finchley who would fancy trying out African meal instead of their usual appetites. Also it will attract more foreign and locals to try out African dishes. (they need to be careful with spicy dishes) The minimum order is £5 as you cannot pay with cash I believe, my wife wanted to order just one meat pie but she couldn't pay with just £1.80, which had to be an order of £5 worth of items. I did like the decor of the place, nest and tidy. And I love the new design and logo, it makes them feel more mainstream. I am also happy with the size of the place, unlike the box room size of Woolwich two branch stores. They didn't have some food that we initially wanted, this is always a problem with Tasty stores, as they run low on certain items before 5pm. TASTE 5/5 SERVICE 3/5 VALUE 3/5 DECOR 5/5

I’ve been buying food from these people for quite a while until today when I have had enough of them. Firstly they sent me a spoilt white rice, I overlooked it cos it’s a Nigerian business and being a Nigerian like myself, I wouldn’t want to write a negative report about them just yet, I tried again based on the fact that they had been good in the past and ordered jollof rice and turkey, the turkey was slimy and almost impossible to eat, but guess what, I managed it, today, these people sent me red brim fish that was spoilt again, trust me £11.50 worth of a small fish that was spoilt and smelly, my God! Y’all are wicked cos why do this to a fellow human ! A spoilt fish???

So walked in for some lovely jollof and boy was I disappointed, The lady looked at me and said just a quick warning the food here is very spicy it wasn't it was bland and undercooked, I was given one piece of chicken that was undercooked and red. Four pieces of plantain and some tesco rice, the rice was incredibly bland and the plantain was... Just plantain The atmosphere is like a drum and bass party the music is on blast you can't even talk to anyone, All in all I wouldn't step foot in here

Ordered using Uber Eats. The food arrived on time, good delivery person. The Jollof Rice, and the Chicken cooked in stew - both lacked flavour, barely any spice. The Chicken cooked in stew was extremely dry on the inside, and the skin was very tough.. what's even worse is the Chicken was all bones (it was not thigh, wings, or breast meat. It was unidentifiable, but at least 70% of the chicken were just bones - near the ribs.). I was extremely disappointed with it.

What was good, were the PuffPuffs, and plantain. But I'm left too disappointed because of the terrible main meal. Sorry but it has to be a 1/5 from me. I hope you do better...
