What a delightful find! Found this gem of a pub by accident when walking from Young Vic towards London Bridge to watch the England Six Nations game and it was brilliant! It had so many screens set up and was not overcrowded with people when we arrived 10 minutes before kick off. The food and service were also outstanding! The ribs were so delicious and fell off the bones and the stilton burger was so tasty that it outdid a burger & lobster burger we had the night before (by a mile) at a fraction of the cost. The service was also outstanding as despite hosting a popular game and the place filled up rapidly, our dirty plates were always taken away quickly and we felt well attended to. Will definitely go again!

Busy pub, always has a full crowd during the week They have a nice layout in a big airy room around a corner bar. Pub has upstairs area with pool tables payable by the hour. The rear has an outside area for those that love inhaling and exhaling smoky products. The Charlotte has a nice drink friendly food menu with four types of loaded fries. There are other meal options from fish and chips to vegan plant burgers. Quite trendy, not a young crowd The pub does show sports but it doesn’t dominate. Screens are up on the roof

One of usual spots for after-work drink and quick bite. Good location just 3min walk from Southwark tube station, quick and attentive service, the food is good (our fav are truffle chips, squid and baked camembert), separate bar and restaurant area, ouydoor space and a huge TV screen. 4 stars given and not 5 as the music often is too loud so difficult to have a conversation and it would be a good idea to serve some chutney/relish with camemebert.

Booked a table for 4 and called to check that we were going to get a normal table and not a high one and received confirmation. When we arrived I talked to the waitress and said that I had a booking under my name. She did not know the password of the computer so she left to continue collecting glasses and left us there standing for about 10 minutes. Once finally someone arrived we got showed to our table and it was indeed a small high table. When I reminded the waiter about my booking he said that’s the only one he had, either that one or nothing. I then went to the bar to order. Asked for a Stake and got told you were out of stakes. Asked for a pint of neck oil and got told that you were out of neck oil. I then ordered something else and sat down at the table. Waited for 20 minutes and only one plate arrived and you did’t even bring any cutlery, just chucked the plate in the middle of the table as it was. I stood up and grubbed the cutlery myself from the staff area. After 10 more minutes someone came to tell us that there has been a mixed up in the kitchen and the plates where going to arrive soon. Food arrived a bit later. I honestly don’t know how you could have done worst than that. Seemed like the place was managed by a bunch of school children. I am not asking for your team to go the extra mile and be super friendly or anything like that. Just asking to get what I booked and what I ended up paying for. Looking at this experience your website sounds like a scam. Focus less on marketing and more of doing the bare minimum expected from...

Went for Ribs and Rhythms night which is regular Tuesday offer at this American themed sports bar style venue that's opened up under the railway arches near Southwark station. First visit to the venue, and found all of the staff very friendly and welcoming, especially Kiki the manager. Big portion of ribs with a great sauce - not too sticky and sweet, but very tasty. Love the decor and vibe of the venue, and already made multiple bookings to go back including their Burns Night event and Superbowl viewing event. Considering they've only been open a short while, very impressed with the service and thought that's gone into the whole experience - food choices, decor, offers etc. Wasn't aware of the Secret DJ app, but will certainly use it in future. I can see this becoming a firm favourite with local residents and workers alike, and great location very close to Southwark/Waterloo East stations and short walk to Waterloo. Looking forward to warmer weather since they have an outdoor area too. All in all, just the sort of lively place where you feel welcomed by the staff, that the area has been lacking for some time considering so many bars/pubs are filled with tourists or people coming for theatre etc. Highly recommend you check it out. The upstairs is a more formal/classy restaurant area with some nice booth seating, whereas downstairs is the lively bar with table seating as well as high-tops, and lots of sports screens showing...

The Charlotte, a fabulous pub located in London's Southwark!

Firstly, the food at The Charlotte is nothing short of exceptional. Whether you're in the mood for a classic pub favorite like fish and chips or something a bit more adventurous like the steak and chips, you won't be disappointed. The flavors are bold, the portions are generous, and the presentation is stunning.

Next, I have to commend the staff at The Charlotte for their outstanding service. From the moment you walk through the door, you're made to feel welcome and valued. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to go above and beyond to ensure that your experience is a positive one.

Lastly, the atmosphere at The Charlotte is simply fantastic. Whether you're stopping in for a quick drink after work or settling in for a leisurely meal with friends, you'll find that the vibe is warm, welcoming, and inviting. The decor is stylish and modern, with plenty of cozy nooks and crannies to relax in. And with a lively crowd of locals and visitors alike, there's always a great...
