If you’re looking for a breakfast that truly satisfies both the stomach and the soul, this place delivers in full. Presented on beautifully patterned plates that immediately catch the eye, the dishes are a vibrant celebration of a traditional English breakfast with a modern twist. The first plate offers a classic comfort combo: perfectly fried eggs with golden yolks, savory grilled tomatoes, sautĂ©ed mushrooms, crispy bacon, baked beans topped with herbs, toast, and golden brown potatoes. Everything was cooked to perfection — the eggs had just the right amount of crisp on the edges, and the beans were seasoned well, adding a delightful tang. The second plate leans slightly more toward a health-conscious version, featuring a similar base with the welcome addition of sliced avocado, sautĂ©ed greens, and a lighter sausage. The variety and freshness of the ingredients really shine here — especially the avocado, which was ripe and buttery, complementing the rest of the dish wonderfully. Both plates were well-balanced in terms of flavor, texture, and portion size. The thoughtful plating and warm ambiance of the cafĂ© (with fresh flowers and cozy lighting) elevated the entire experience. Whether you’re in the mood for indulgent or nutritious, this breakfast ticks all the boxes.

In light of the general increase in prices, I believe it is reasonable to expect value for money. Unfortunately, my experience with the Pasteis de Nata on this occasion was very disappointing. Having previously enjoyed both good and excellent versions of this treat, I found this particular one to be unsatisfactory. The pastry was excessively soggy and had an unpalatable taste, suggesting that the cream may not have been fresh. It was evident that this item has been stored for an extended period, as it did not possess the freshness expected from your establishment. For reference, I have previously sampled other Pasteis de Nata that weren't reasonably fresh but still edible, in contrast to what I experienced in your place, I had just a bite.

As I was in the area, I decided to try this café once again. It has changed ownership several times over the past few years, not for the best, I have to say. It was deserted for a long time. It seems to have regained in popularity with the locals, lately. I had a Flat White - they offer every coffees in 3 different sizes, including flat white ( why ??? ), still making single shot coffees, as standard. And market price £ 3.60 for a " medium " size. Even though, the service was friendly, unfortunately the coffee is far from perfect. First of all, it was too hot and tasted "very ordinary", sorry guys, probably due to a cheaper coffee brand and experience. More so, I believe they have to up their game, with all the competition across the street - Starbucks and...
