The Encanto Kitchen — Restaurant in London

Food - 5 Stars , Hospitality - 5 Stars and Service - 5 Stars , what an amazing restaurant. I have been to many 5 star restaurants particularly in my time and this is one of them! , I am a complete foodie and like to think I have very high standards when it comes to restaurants it takes a lot to impress me and this restaurant certainly exceeded that . I had delicious chicken wings as a starter which were perfectly grilled. extremely tasty and sizzling hot, for my main course it was surf n turf steak and king prawns served in a lemon and green peppercorn sauce . The steak was cooked to perfection extremely soft and delicious with a crispy salad where all the ingredients were perfectly crisp and fresh which was dressed so well you could it a plate of it on its own, for desert it was Churros and a gorgeous high quality chocolate sauce which again almost drink on its own the Churros were delicately cooked to perfection , apparently it was Chef K that cooked what I would describe as a masterpiece exhibition of skilled cookery , a steak that you remember for years to come. The staff are so warm, kind and genuine that they give off a family atmosphere. It was such a fulfilling experience where gastronomically you are left feeling very content and looking forward to whenever it’s next possible to attend with friends and family . I highly recommend booking this restaurant without hesitation for all of the above reasons.

I have been a loyal customer and have always enjoyed the great food and the cheerful vibe of staffs. But the experience tonight isn’t that good for me.

I have made a reservation for dinner for 6 at 6:30pm and haven known that we have to hand back the table by 8:30pm. A female staff whom we haven’t met before served us.

I am not sure whether she was too anxious or just that she wanna make sure that we finish by 8:30, she seems like rushing through every part in our dinner.

She came to our table for at least 10 times throughout the dinner, urging us to order drinks, starter and main when we are still waiting for friends who are stuck on traffic.

I feel very uncomfortable with it. And at 8:05, she came to ask whether we have finished. I told her we are still working on it. 2 minutes later she came again with a face that we have to leave immediately and collect everything. And 2 minutes later she came back to ask whether we are ready for bill. It isn’t 8:10 yet.

I understand we have to hand back the table in 2 hours which we think is quite luxurious for a dinner but she made me feel like rushing through everything. We didn’t have time to enjoy the food and enjoy time chatting with our friends.

2 of us got out to smoke while others stay at the table to wait them back. But at 8:25, another staff came and kick us out saying they have customer coming in 5 minutes.

Food and drink are wonderful as always but it’s an awful...

A fine dining place with pretty looking - and tasting - dishes. On the positives, the jalapeno hotshots, the veggie burrito, the Encanto bowl and breaded mushrooms were very good. The lamb cutlets were a bit charred. The Encanto Kitchen certainly looks nice, but one doesn't get a Mexican vibe from the place. The one distinctly Mexican thing was when we asked for a hot sauce, they gave us a small cup of habanero, and boy it was fiery! The un-Mexican thing was that they charged us for it, which was a bit odd (imagine a pizzeria charging you separately for olive oil). The staff, while not rude, were mildly cold in their behaviour - our waitress looked a little lost while taking our orders, another member of staff took away a glass of beer from my friend when there was still some grog left in it before we could protest, and so on. But a special shout-out to Milos, who eventually brought out some much needed cheer while we were settling the bill. So all in all, a good place but I'm on the fence about...
