I had the BEST 30th birthday party at The Spaghetti Tree on Saturday thanks to Danny and his fabulous team! Danny was beyond helpful offering advice and assistance throughout my party planning to make sure my night was special. He’s attention to detail really made the difference and nothing was too much trouble. The wait staff were all super friendly and efficient and provided excellent service during the evening. Now for the kitchen, I always think it’s a bit of a risk with a large group of people that the quality of food suffers, additionally, I hadn’t eaten at The Spaghetti Tree before so wasn’t sure what to expect but I needn’t have worried at all. The food was delicious! My sincerest complements to the chefs; it was all really tasty, high quality Italian food cooked perfectly, good portions and great variety even with the set menu to keep everybody happy. The standard was so high and far exceeded my expectations! We enjoyed a live singer who really helped us get the party started! The venue itself is cosy, with gorgeous twinkling fairy lights amongst the foliage all around the room which gave it a magical party feel but equally would be lovely as a romantic backdrop for a night out for dinner. Despite the small size we still managed a dance floor by moving a few tables creating space for us to throw some shapes in the middle. We went to the spaghetti tree for our work Christmas meal in December. Upon arrival the table was not set for the right amount of people. Great start …. The food was lovely but that’s as far as the positives go. The entertainment was sadly involved in an accident so a last minute DJ was brought in. We were told to ask for requests which we did only to be ignored and for her to play her own favoured songs totally misreading the room. At the end of the evening we was approached by the drunk dj and asked for cigarettes, we never got offered or received the shot as part of the set meal, one of the staff members sat on the table next to us with a face like thunder and made it very apparent she did not want to be there and finally we was overcharged by over £1000 !!!! We are still awaiting our refund and have been told it’ll be at least another week. This has been going on since mid December !!!! When I ask today as to why the refund has still not been issued I was told the accountant it on holiday. He wasn’t on the 23rd December when they finally admitted to overcharging us and asking for details to make the refund payment but no explanation for the delay has been forthcoming !!! As previous frequent attendees to the spaghetti tree chains due to their excellent food and great atmosphere I will not be going again !!!! I honestly do not regret picking this restaurant out for our wedding reception (considering we've never ate here before until our wedding reception and I just booked them because I couldn't find anywhere else in Sutton that would accomodate approx. 50 guests). It was an intimate reception with 47 guests. The food was amazing and the staff were very friendly and accomodating. I did not hear a single complain from my guests. Only compliments about how they felt that they were looked after by the staff. They were very approachable and easy to talk to during the wedding planning stage. I couldn't be more thankful that they made our evening and the planning truly stress and hassle-free. Nothing but praises from us for the whole Spaghetti Tree Sutton team who hosted our intimate wedding reception on a busy Saturday (we were booked from 5pm-7:45pm and they had a fully booked night from 8pm onwards).
