Visited for the first time with friends, had only a couple of drinks in the very pretty and accommodating beer garden. From the moment you arrive you can see a great level of detail has gone into making this pub a warm and welcoming experience from the well maintained flowers and frontage, to stepping into the pub via the beer garden, there is a great indoor decor with wood panelling, old books and pictures all add to the atmosphere. Not one detail has been overlooked. Was lovely to see some local products in hampers being promoted and sold behind the bar.

Lovely to see they have free Wi-Fi available and publicised at the bar.

The bar it’s self offered a wide range of draft beers, ales etc then a good selection of spirits with a number of specialty gins, rum, whiskey and more. Defo something for everyone.

There were even some dog treats available on the bar and a water keg for dogs outside to allow you to top up a water bowl, again a lovely touch to include your four legged friends. Was lovely to see a number of dogs in the beer garden.

The beer garden has a huge amount of seating, some booths which are under cover, open tables and chairs and even picnic benches. Really something for everyone.

There were some great signage places where they’re actively encouraging engagement for their social channels. Nothing better than patrons promoting their venue with a great experience.

Although we didn’t eat we saw some of the food on offer from an adjacent table, the burgers looked incredible. Had we have not just eaten an hour prior we defo would have not been able to resist.

The pub is close to the canal so would be a lovely stop if you were passing through as a place to get a nice bite to eat and enjoy a couple of drinks.

We were really blown away with the atmosphere, welcome and overall vibe of this place and we’ve already said we are looking forward to returning and next time getting a bite to eat.

Great work and a big thank you to the management and staff, keep doing what you’re doing, as it’s superb. Massive and well deserved 5...

I have visited this pub on several occasions over the last 18 months (living only around the corner). At first the food was rather tasty, the beer fresh and staff friendly. However over the months the food deteriorated along with the beer, staff and ultimatley the volume of customers.

I would really avoid this one, it is in such a lovely location that it really is a shame, but trust me I have given it several chances each time willing it with my fingers crossed to be as good as the first but alas having gone from a decent CAMERA gastro pub it is now inferior to any other restaurant in Ealing which I have tried, my recommendation is to try the castle bar on Uxbridge road (excellent food slightly more expensive than the fox but 200% better and never been disappointed), the horse shoe on Boston Road (more of a cafe but very friendly atmosphere, simple food and decor) or for a change there is a little Italian on Bond St Ealing near to Pizza express which is unbelievable value and exceptional quality.

Sorry Fox but too many chances, too little improvement, try cleaning the taps once in...

New atmospheric lighting, a nice paint job and some new tables and crockery. Pleasant atmosphere, as previously, but oh good grief the food was truly awful.

Not even one vegan option when these days most places have an entire vegan menu. Not even a jacket potato. Somebody needs to whisper 'sustainability policy' and 'climate emergency' into the landlord's ear.

Glancing round, people seemed to be eating remarkably ordinary food that only justified its inflated price on extremely modest artistic merit.

The crowning glory was the houmous. One tiny bit and I was hit with that terrible anti-freeze taste associated with a really serious bacterial overgrowth - it stayed with me for hours. Seriously, if they can't store that properly, what else is going wrong? The chef didn't bother to come out to apologise but perhaps they were too mortified to face us?

They gave us money back only for the houmous part of the meal but it truly didn't make up for a miserable and wildly overpriced experience.

We will NEVER go back...

Five stars deserved just only for the beer garden and the vibes. Close to the canal for a post Sunday Roast walk. Secret place for locals and pub lovers. Unmissable.

Best public house in the borough of ealing! Excellent food, excellent friendly staff! Drink prices as they should be £5.50 for a pint of Amstel! Not like my robbing local pubs in S Ealing which are charging £7.50 per pint, which i refuse to pay anymore! They have lost my custom now! I travel 3 miles to the Fox 2/3 times per week! These guys know how to run a business correctly! 💚 Ps Just read a reviewer saying the fish is basically no good. Absolute nonsense there Haddock is super fresh and large portions! I should know because I do alot of sea fishing and I know the difference from super fresh fish, old fresh fish and frozen thawed fish and I can guarantee you it's super fresh or otherwise I would not eat there fish twice aweek and his other hilarious remark too noisy and kids running around everywhere in the beer garden lol! It's a family pub and I would advise him to drink in Weatherspoons! There's always one 🐑🙄
