The Hollydale is located in a quiet residential street on the border between Peckham and Nunhead in Southeast London. The nearest station is Queens Road Peckham.

This architecturally classic Victorian pub was built in 1868 and was previously known as The Hollydale Tavern . After a period of closure, the pub reopened in June last year after an extensive refurbishment by the new owners.

This is a spacious one bar pub that has a modern and minimalist feel. The servery is centrally located and combines the original servery structure with an industrial looking bar-back. The walls are painted dark green lower down and white above with a large projector screen to the right of the servery. The walls seemed quite bare when visiting but are now displaying art from local artists. There is plenty of seating throughout mixing low level tables and chairs plus a few poser tables. For the warmer months, there are some benches at the front, there is a beer garden at the rear but it is still under construction.

The beer line up is all keg and features a host of well known beers. I decided on a Cruzcampo, my pint was excellent, price point was average. The food offering is bar snacks like Charcuterie Boards, Hummus and Pitta Bread plus a selection of Sausage Rolls

We arrived around 3pm on a sweltering Saturday afternoon in July. The pub was quiet inside, the majority of punters were sat outside enjoying imbibing alfresco. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed with a lovely local pub feel. The service was excellent, we got chatting to the assistant manager who was friendly and personable, she was telling us all about the history of the pub.

This pub hosts Live Music and Quiz Nights and fundraising events for local charities.

Great to see a local pub up and running again in these difficult times. We really enjoyed our visit here, especially the local pub feel and friendly team.
