I have had takeaway from The Jaipur every other week since I moved in round the corner in October. I usually find Indian takeaway too oily but I have never been disappointed with this one. The staff are lovely and the food is always delicious. Thank you! I can’t wait till the restaurant is open again so I can experience the food and service in house :-)

I've used the Jaipur for deliveries for some time, and the food is always great. Two of us decided to have food in the restaurant itself, and I think I'll revert to only having food delivered, after our experience. For a start, we were the only ones in the restaurant, and I think we had a waiter from another dimension. He asked if we wanted beer and we said, no, what wine do you have. "Beer, house red and house white," was the answer. We asked for house white and he promptly went off and opened a bottle of beer for us! He questioned a lot of the things we ordered, sometimes repeating back something else! It was a period of tension wondering what food would arrive. Thankfully it was correct, and good, of course, One of us finished, and he tried to start taking dishes away, even though one person was still eating. We asked him not to - there were sauces in some dishes that could be mopped up - but, no, he still took them. (And he did that big no-no for me, of stretching across the table right in front of my face, when he should have gone to the other side of the table where no one was sitting) I don't know what was going on, as other reviews really like the service, but I won't be eating back here again, just...

SURELY A MUST TO AVOID. ARRIVED AT RESTAURANT, ASKED IF I WOULD LIKE A DRINK, NO THANKS, A FEW MINUTES LATER, YOU DON'T WANNA DRINK, NO BUT THANKS. SECONDS LATER I AM GIVEN THE DRINKS MENU. ANYWAY HE ASKS ME THE SAME THINGS AGAIN. I AM LOOKING AT MY PHONE WATCHING FOOTBALL, UNAWARE OF WHAT HE IS SAYING, TURNS OUT IT IS TISSUES GO ON THE TABLE NOT IN THE PLATE! SO HE BANGES THE TABLE AS HE EJECTS THE TISSUE BACK ON THE TABLE. I THINK I MUST BE HEARING WRONG AS HE SAYS YOU'RE JAMAICAN AREN'T YOU. THE PERSON THEN DECIDES TO DROWN OUT THE RESTAURANT MUSIC WITH HIS PHONE ON FULL BLAST. I AM STILL EATING AS HE APPROACHES THE TABLE TO SAY, YOU ARE FINISHED, l SAY YES WITH THESE. POINTING TO THE SERVING PLATES , WHICH NOW CONTAINED THE SAID TISSUE, AT THIS POINT HE PICKS UP THE PLATE WITH THE TISSUE, THOUGH SIMULTANEOUSLY TOSSING IT BACK. DIRECTLY ON TO MY NOT YET FINISHED DINNER PLATE. NOW I FINALLY REALISE I AM IN THE WRONG PLACE AT THE RIGHT TIME, TO BE SUBJECTED TO SUCH INTOLERABLE BEHAVIOUR BY A CERTAIN INDIVIDUAL. I THEN PROCEEDED TO THE BAR, PAID MY BILL. TO WICH THE RECIPIENT OFFERD NO VERBAL...

I'm never one to leave a bad review, but this place has given me the worst service I have ever had. We entered to an empty restaurant with an older gentleman who had a horrible attitude. We ordered a starter of poppadoms and chutney and then asked for some tap water to be then told "we don't serve tap water, only bottle water or alcohol we are a proper restaurant" we looked past this but then had him forcing us to order more food when we said we wanted more time he then said "no you need to order now". We decided to just get the bill and was told £8 for 4 poppadoms and chutney. When we queried this we was told service charge was added on because we dared to sit down and use the plates to eat, i politey reminded him we was leaving due to the lack of service. We gave the guy £6 cash and walked out. I would never enter this establishment again, and advise others to...
