Disappointed. We live a 5-minute walk away and were looking forward to the re-opening of this place, especially having read the overwhelmingly-positive reviews. But we waited almost an hour for our main-course food to arrive after we’d ordered, with staff avoiding us as if they were embarrassed. Yes it was a busy Saturday evening but not super busy. No one came to us to ask if we wanted more drinks or anything. In that kind of situation, just one simple sorry from staff that it was taking so long could have diffused things, especially from the owner who was a prominent presence, but that never happened. My family and I have eaten at Khas in Kensal Rise for many years and have always found the atmosphere to be good and the food to be of a reasonably high standard. This restaurant has recently undergone a major refurbishment and the qualitiy of the new facilities would give the impression that the standards have risen significantly. That I have to say, was not my experience. I thought I would try it out before I take a large group of friends for a visit and I must say that whilst the service was reasonable, the food was extremely poor.
