The Park — Restaurant in London

Lovely pub, beautiful decor. Sadly the service and food, rather mediocre. I like to go to a different pub around my borough every Sunday to try a roast, I'm afraid to say this has been the worst roast I've had in Britain. The yorkie felt like they made it with fish batter or cheap batter, but with batter and the rest of the food was okay. But the service was so bad, the chick that served me seemed so unfriendly, despite the fact I never stopped being nice and thankful with her, like my grandmother once said, "a drop of honey attracts more bees than a bucket of ice" in other words, kill it with kindness right? And even the guy that picked up my plate, I was so thankful and he looked at me up and down and with pitty and I don't know why haha maybe because I was by myself and some people find that sad or disgusting? Honestly I can't figure it out, but I personally love eating out by myself, but from that to being rude about it, it's a bit dramatic. Even when I left I thank them and they just turn around said nothing and went back to their chatter. So, despite the place being lovely, I wouldn't go again mainly because of the service I received. Also it's funny because I reside in two countries Mexico and Britain and one thing I love about Britain is the friendliness in customer service, Mexico sadly lacks that. I always say that in Mexico 1 in 10 people in customer service are super friendly, in Britain 1 in 10 people in customer service is rude, sadly this pub forms part of that 1% out of 10.

We recently had the pleasure of hosting a family gathering at The Park to celebrate our daughter’s birthday, and I can honestly say it was an unforgettable experience. From the very first moment I contacted the restaurant to book the space, Lidia stood out as an incredibly positive and welcoming person. She was thorough and informative, providing all the details we needed to make our decision. I was so impressed by both the menu and the beautiful design of the venue that I didn't even feel the need to explore other options—I knew this was the perfect place.

When it came to the food, we were all absolutely delighted. The dishes were not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Despite having a large group—20+ adults and 5 toddlers—everything was served on time and without a hitch, all thanks to Stuart and his attentive team. They made sure we were well taken care of, constantly checking in to ensure we had everything we needed.

One more highlight was the excellent cocktail selection, which added an extra touch to our celebration.

Bed bugs!!! I hate to give this place a bad review as I am a regular food costumer but I have to warn you as a guest. I stayed in the hotel recently (first time overnight), and should’ve known upon entering the room that something was terribly wrong. Initially walking in the room was SO musty! We opened the windows and thought that perhaps it was some sort of leak in the rugs or something. WRONG. Apparently, that smell is a sign of a SEVERE bed bug infestation. And it was severe. Within 24 hours of staying at the hotel I had HUNDREDS of bites all over my body, had to go to the doctor and he has confirmed that they are indeed bed bug bites! I have now had to steam, heat, and deep clean ALL of my belongings as well as nearly all of my apartment to try to prevent the spread as they are notorious hitch hikers. Trust me! Not everyone reacts to the bites, meaning they can go under the radar and luckily I did. It had to be incredibly severe in order for me to get that many bites meaning that there is likely the rooms are not getting deep cleaned as often as they should. I unfortunately have a photoshoot in a couple of weeks and now have fear of scarring and no longer feel I can be seen in public. DO...
