The Popeseye Steak House — Restaurant in London

It has been almost a year since I came here and I am still annoyed. My wife and I thought this could become our neighborhood steakhouse and came here for her birthday. After asking about different steak options multiple times, we were told that only filet mignon was available that night. I prefer a cut with more fat and had a hard time believing this. Each time we were told the same thing. So... We ordered what was available. After other patrons came in, we saw that people had other cuts on their plate. This traditional steakhouse is located on Blythe Road in Hammersmith, about a 15-20 mins walk from the underground station, making it very easy to find. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, run by a lovely elderly couple who are very friendly and chatty with customers. We ordered 2 glasses of wine, a Sirloin steak, and a Ribeye steak. The chips were a delightful surprise!!! perfectly crispy!!The main dishes were good, though the sides were a bit simple. To finish, we ordered a chocolate brownie for a little celebration.
