Typical trendy staff with the same old attitude, forgetting they're actually their to serve and provide a good service, not to stand there and chat about some french unheard of film or debate a random cloned Smiths cover performed by an art-house underground garage band from Japan.
Once we'd found a seat which didn't look like it had been attacked by a bear, the table appeared in need of a good clean - that or it was acting as a fly trap because it had more stick on it than super glue. Let's not forget it also acted as a seesaw.
The food wasn't actually too bad for the price, once it eventually arrived. The first dish arrived after 30 mins followed by the other 3 dishes around 10 minutes later. Exactly what you expect when with a group of people. Did I mention the place was at about 10% capacity?
I'm not a fan of writing bad reviews for places, given that people actually tend to read reviews these days so it can have an impact on the business. However, given the experience we had in there, I felt it would only be fair to warn others.
Bad experience - poor service - grimy seating. If you can look past that for a drink with your mates (and can wait a while for your drink) - go for it - if not,...
Read moreVery chilled at lunchtime, not too many people, but still a good atmosphere and a very friendly welcome from the man behind the bar. This bar is mainly a night-time venue appealing to a younger customer. The selection of drinks reflects this with a good selection of 'modern' ales, don't come here expecting a traditional Greene King, no draft IPA, but that's a good thing. Stereotypes are there to be broken and it's good to try something new everyday. Very small outdoor, roadside space at the front with a larger, not large (smoker's) yard at the rear. Enough styling details to stop it from being grim and it does catch the sun on a warm day. Enjoyed a pint of Neck Oil (4.3%) from a small London Brewery sitting out back, very good. Toilets fine, everything is clean and works. This may not be your favourite venue in the evening, but for a well kept pint and space to think it's a good stop-off during the day. Will return, and when Covid is less prevalent, will visit in the evening as the Dj sessions sound good, but might skip the...
Read moreHeld my pre 60th birthday celebration on Friday 1st August we all had a wicked time ,the atmosphere was so warm friendly and welcoming. The staff was polite and very friendly (Vera). I have not been to Brixton in years but that said night there was 60 of us that drove down from East London, and we raved hard the music was old school and it brought back memories. The surrounding areas was also kicking with BBQ and music on the street corners. I would defo visit the Prince Albert again as l enjoyed myself do much that the next day l was mash up. The only thing is l will not drive l will take tube as l just received a PCN notice due to driving in an restricted area, l don't no Brixton that well and the parking was a joke alongside the confusion with the road layout. I would recommend this venue to anyone as long as you want to hear some wicked tunes you must come down. I will defo be visiting again but this time on London transport. I would like to thank all the staff for making making it a...
