I visited the Boots store in Brixton on 6 July and waited at the pharmacy counter for 30 minutes during which time not one person's order was fulfilled and not one person served satisfactorily.
The queue grew in size and people became extremely irritated as it appeared there was a great deal of "milling about" behind the counter but very little achievement.
Talking to others waiting it was a story of woe: e-prescriptions lost in transit, items not in stock, general confusion, even where items were in stock waiting times for the prescriptions to be made up were over long.
After half an hour I asked to speak to the manager. She at least checked to see if the items I needed were in stock. They weren't and I certainly wasn't prepared to return there to wait again, particularly as my fellow queue members advised me that the service is always poor and slow and if I had any alternative pharmacy I should use it.
Adding insult to injury there were several young people on work experience, all left to their own devices. I suggest that this branch doesn't offer work experience until they are able to set a good example and have staff to spare to offer the necessary support.

Read moreWent into boots yesterday not feeling well and when I went to the prescription service I was treated and spoke to in a very poorly manner a Indian woman was serving me she was so rude and disrespectful I spoke to her with manners and respect and that was the least I expected back but she was saying rude things to me in front of my daughter and laughing about it and whispering to her colleagues in front of my face, I could blatantly hear what she was saying it was so disgusting to be treated that way I feel like no customer should ever have to feel like this and treated like this it’s absolutely disgusting I use this boots twice a week every week and I usually am met with lovely staff but yesterday was my worst experience ever in customer service overall the woman is rude and disrespectful and I will never be shopping here again after 10 years of shopping at this store I am appalled and I think the manager should definitely consider who their employing because having people like that on your team will bring your sales done and customer...

20/02/2023 Edited today. Today I got some really good service today as well and that should be acknowledged however, about 2 weeks ago, there was a woman who was very scary, she was shouting at customers "do you pay for your prescription?" It was embarrassing for the customers who had to explain to this god awful woman why they weren't paying. She spoke with a Polish or Ukraine accent, she was short, plump with dark hair. It was painful to watch. It was painful to listen to. Boots If you are listening PLEASE! Do not allow this woman to set foot in your pharmacy again. I usually have my Gp send my prescription directly to Boots and I almost removed myself as a Customer.
