My experience of The Ram Inn.
Firstly I would like to start off by saying the service is great, the staff behind the bar make you feel at home, which is what is needed in a south West London Public House. On my visit I ordered one pint of Red Stripe and a Baked Camembert. The Red Stripe tasted clean and crisp as it should and was served on time by the lovely bar staff.
My food however was not the same experience. To be fair to the establishment they were extremely busy on food when I ordered, this was visible by the amount of food being sent down in the food lift (I was sat next to it at the bar). However the first camembert I ordered was delivered to myself almost completely raw, as if the top had been grilled but the remainder was raw and solid. I informed the bar staff of the issue and they immediately had a replacement made for me. The replacement did take some time but so it should, unless you were planning on re-heating the grilled one I had sent back. The finished product arrived and to be fair the camembert was roasted through and you could taste the garlic and rosemary. However I think the dish would have been lifted to completion with the addition of honey. Honey, rosemary and garlic as a trio really complement a baked Camembert and when you are left without one of the three I feel like you have an incomplete dish.
Overall a good experience the service is great but there is some work to be done with the chefs/menu writers in this...

I found a remarkably friendly pub that is beautiful inside and has incredibly welcoming staff, we were greeted by the owner and saw the large brewing vats through a glass panel. I must admit I wasnt even aware that the pub was here. I whole heartedly recommend this pub without reservation. Great prices great food, and a refurbishment on the upper floor function room will be, by the New Year , a focal point for LIVE MUSIC and entertainment, if people value their community its important to support such a gem of a place. The RAM INN was Part of the old Youngs Brewery and this was their flagship pub with the old Dray gates still in place where the huge shire horses pulled their carts in after a mornings work. Great prices and an adult friendly pub that outshines any pub or bistro I have been in for as long as I can remember. If your looking for a local you can call your own, this is the pub for you. Its a cut above the rest and I...
Read moreThe Ram is situated in a handy location on Wandsworth High Street, making it easy to travel to by public transport.
I visited on a weekday afternoon. It's a small, cozy pub.
The lady at the bar was fairly friendly, but the prices are typical, expensive London pub prices.
They have a very cozy Chesterfield sofa and armchair tucked away in a corner.
Nice bonuses include free use of a darts board, board games, and there is also a table tennis table in the small rear garden.
The major disappointment was when I visited the gentleman's toilets.
They were dark, old, Victorian with a big swarm of flies circling round and round to welcome me!
Dilapidated, dirty Victorian toilets shows a real lack of respect for your customers. And We are the ones keeping you in business, and paying your wages.
Dirty Toilets like yours would make me happily take my custom elsewhere.
And there's certainly no shortage of Great local pubs competing for our...
