unfortunately our experience left much to be desired. Before our meal, my friend’s child had a meltdown, which is completely understandable with young kids. (He’s only 2) However, the response from the waiter was far from compassionate. Instead of offering support or understanding, the waiter told my friend to “take care of her kid.” To make matters worse, she also had a 4-month-old baby with her, making it even more challenging to manage the situation.

We asked the waiter if he had children, to which he replied no, and we couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable and unsupported during the entire interaction. The only reason we stayed was that it was well past lunchtime, and our kids needed to eat.

While we understand that dealing with upset children in a restaurant can be tough, a little empathy and professionalism would have gone a long way. We won’t be returning, and we’d recommend that the restaurant train its staff on how to handle such situations with more...

The waiter was so inappropriate! Absolute disgrace in how he treated me today at lunch. We all felt so uncomfortable eating here after but the children were hungry so we stayed for the meal. My toddler was having a meltdown tantrum waiting for food and the waiter felt the right to tell me to “take care of my child” because he was trying to put food on our table and was in his way. I said to him he m clearly doing my best as I hold my 4 month old at the same time as my son is having his moment so what exactly did he expect me to do more . He said he didn’t have children and I said he shouldn’t be giving out the parenting advice then! I didn’t even mean to attend this venue however there was a sign outside in the park saying toilets were available in the cafe, which this place used to be. So understandably I went in asking for the loo and they let me know it was another/the old establishment and that was completely fine. The issue was that the server practically pushed me out after opening the door as if I was kicking up a fuss. All I’d done was ask “is the toilet available?” He said no that’s the old sign, so I let him know okay that’s fine and as I was leaving he put his hand on my back and practically pushed me out and slammed the door behind me. I was initially considering visiting this place but I don’t think I ever will if the staff want to act snobby and better than everyone else.
