"The best Greek souvlaki we ever had, authentic taste good quality and big portions. We visit the place very often."

I did my first review 11 months ago, and I still believe The Souvlaki offers the best Greek Souvlaki in town. However I will admit that the people who runs the place are very hands on and they have lack of restaurant management. Prioritising the deliveroo orders while you have visitors walking in your restaurant it’s the worst experience you can offer to your customers. Its similar to expecting visitors at your house, and while they arrive you decide to start a telephone conversation with friends elsewhere, and let your visitors waiting at the lounge, but you are making them aware that they have to wait to see you. I think they should decide which makes their business more profitable and keep this model of service, not possible to have both under the current circumstances. The only thing that keeping us visiting the place it’s their quality, and great food. Still hospitality has three aspects and the third it’s the service and here the problem is big even they are polite and trying their best. You need enough patience and an hour to spend just to wait for your food, which in Greece presumed as fast food and it’s, no more than...

One of the worst restaurants bad quality, bad service , rude stuff very long waiting time it's not even busy to be an excuse I have been in this business before and I know what I am saying, even the way they respond to the reviewers on Google is so rude telling someone if you don't like the way don't come back . My advice if you want to continue with your business you need to be professional . Maybe you get five stars from your family, friends and yourself mostly. this after your response I knew you will be rude in your response as usual, you can tell the united nations if you want as you threaten me of telling deliveroo but I was a customer and I regret it and delivered couple a times your bad food and I regret it and I asked all the drivers no one want to deliver with you because of your rude way and the massive waiting time ,and most of them they cancel the order if it's yours, and, I had my own restaurant and I know how is it to be professional and I don't think even you serve a fresh meat I think all of it frozen food you only heat it up , and it's not a shame to do delivery job, I never had problems with delivery or in my restaurant, so Please be nice with people and be professional in your job and...

We came here a couple of years ago (before covid struck), ate in and had the best food. We are Greek ourselves so was lovely to experience authentically cooked food. However, we travelled 40 minutes to come back again today to enjoy my son’s birthday meal only to be told they are not doing eat in at the moment (even though Google says they are). We were disappointed, but decided to get takeaway and go and eat it in the car as we had been looking forward to it so much. The chips were half cooked (still hard), and as they were also in the gyros we had to take them all out which was messy and not what we paid quite a lot of money for. The chicken souvlaki was the biggest disappointment. There was nothing authentic about this at all. They were under seasoned, small pieces of dry chicken on wooden skewers. I can cook better at home in my conventional oven. For £11 I was expecting better than that. I never leave reviews, but felt I had to here as it was so good last time I visited. I just hope that they can read this and get back to the lovely food they...

Not sure how many stars to give.... My first visit was for coffee and when I asked the waiter for a soya milk she said they are not Starbucks...I understand they are not but come one everyone have these days soya milk due to peoples growing allergies. Another visit today, waited more than 40 minutes for food, waiter didn't apologize until he came with food saying they were busy. People who came after us were eating earlier than us and they didn't have a problem to do deliveries. The staff just seemed rude and careless. Also the door doesn't close properly and they had just tiny heating so it was pretty cold inside. The food was delicious, amazing meat, sauce, bread, big portion and a very good price. However, they should definitely hire more people and work more on communication. One waiter, one behind till and 2 chefs what I saw is definitely not enough for such a busy place especially weekends.
