This pub saved my wedding day.
In March, just 36 hours from our wedding, a reception venue that we booked cancelled on us. Panicked, we called the White Horse, our favourite local pub, and without question or difficulty they accommodated our wedding party. Everything we wanted was met with a response of “sure, we can do that” or “don’t worry about that - focus on your wedding and we will handle the rest.”
Much to our relief, they delivered - and then some - on their promises.
When we arrived after the wedding ceremony, they had a lovely table setting of Prosecco (with strawberries!) to greet the guests, a private section cordoned off and staff dedicated to us. They accommodated food requests that were not on the menu, paid exceptional attention to our needs, and everyone had an absolutely amazing time and lovely meal.
This was our favourite local pub anyway, but the manager and the staff forever have our gratitude for their exceptional service, wonderful food and drink, and kind intervention when my husband and I were at a loss.
For so many reasons, I recommend this wonderful pub. Thanks team!
Oh, and your vegetarian wellington is out...

The toilet area, (mens) was very clean and tidy with soap available and nice decor to gaze upon, including the humorous sports themed local artwork on the wall.
The bar staff were friendly and the service was quick with a welcoming smile. I ordered no food this time but the roast beef dinner was lovely on my last visit.
The internal decorations of the building are extremely beautiful to look at with original materials used. There is lots of space to manoeuvre yourself in with many tables if the establishment gets too busy. Television's availability are in abundance if you wish to watch sports etc.
The back garden is a lovely green space with shade and the peace and quiet you require whilst enjoying a lazy day. There is parking unavailable and the location is exceptional with it being so close to the historic, Harrow on the hill. I highly advise a visit to this bup before or after a walk around...
Read moreWe visited The White Horse at Harrow-on-the-Hill in November, arriving just after it opened at 12:20. The pub felt a little chilly initially, likely because it had just started its day.
My boyfriend ordered the Bacon, Brie & Caramelised Onion Beef Burger served with chips, coleslaw, and tomato relish. I opted for the Garlic & Rosemary Marinated Chicken Breast accompanied by sweet potato dauphinois, French beans, Mediterranean vegetables, and a red wine & mushroom sauce. The presentation was impressive, and the food exceeded our expectations for a pub—packed with flavor and beautifully cooked.
We were too full to order dessert, but we did try their coffee. While the coffee itself was decent, there was a delay: my boyfriend's arrived first, and mine took another 10 minutes.
Despite the initial chill and the coffee delay, our overall experience was excellent. The food quality really stood out, making The White Horse a place I’d...
