Dec’23 Review:
Reducing my 5 star rating which is did 7 months ago to 1 star based on my recent visit
The Food taste has become Awful.
Every food we ordered (Briyani, chicken, Quail, Egg) were salty
Briyani turned to be a disaster, it was dry , cold and tasted like a 2 days old food
The staff was arrogant, not ready to take the feedback and arguing for telling them food was not good.
The taste has changed drastically after my first visit, not sure if the chef who was initially brought from Tamilnadu has left
Not sure if Satish who was the owner 7 months before is still with them, the shop will have to close soon if they don’t quickly look at fixing the food quality
Food we Ordered and my rating:
Mutton Briyani - No Rating, it was salty, dry and tasted old Gun Chicken - 3, again salty Country Chicken Gravy - 2, salty and chicken was cold but gravy was hot Parotta and Salna - 4, bit salty Salna but was able to manage
Price for their combo offers is ok, but they definitely need to work on the customer feedback to retain returning customers and continue running the store ———————————————————————
Apr’23 review:
Visited this place on Thursday.. Tried their Shredded Country Chicken, Quail, Biryani with Seragasamba rice and Parotta with Salna... "FULFILLING SOUTH INDIAN DISHES AFTER A LONG TIME". In short food was "VERITHANAM".. A retreat for Parota and Salna lovers in UK.. My kid enjoyed the south Indian flavour which he normally doesn't.. Thanks to Satish for bring this store to UK, expecting more stores.. Will definitely visit store again...
Read moreI visited Courtallam border couple of weeks ago and I have to say the experience was great. To start with, ambience was good with enough spaces between tables. Hospitality was top notch by asking about our special requirements(if any) from the start and ensured we were looked after.
In terms of food, it was brilliant with authentic salna and parotta which was soft and fluffy. Especially the country chicken fry is great with the right level of spices. Tried couple of vegetarian items as well and they were simply great.
Would definitely go again and if you happen to eat-in, don’t miss the ice cream parotta.
Only one point to note is the parking at premise which the owners are looking to sort out. Still not bad as there is Waitrose and paid car parking in the opposite streets.
Finally, a good Parotta place at its best in the Harrow area !!
Update : visited again this Easter weekend and wanted to add few more points. While the parotta is unbeatable, the portion sizes are very small for the price that’s being charged. Also, the food was served warm in some cases.
Passed on the feedback while we were there with the owner and he said he will check and take action. If the portion sizes can be increased, definitely a place to visit to taste some country chicken curry...
Read moreCourtallam Border Parotta restaurant is located next to South Harrow police station on the first floor. We recently ordered takeaway from the Resturant and I must say the food failed exception on our second visit @07/08. Parotta was dry and old however I double check with hostess - she mentioned they always make fresh which is not true …. and chicken curry failed the expectation , it was extremely Spicy .
I ordered Mutton Biryani - huge disappointment and such a shame with quality & Quantity. On our first parotta was fresh and curry was decent however now it’s become more worse, I called the Resturant they didn’t pick. It’s a mobile number so I sent them the pictures of food to reply however they never bothered.
I glad that’s owners have worked on quality of food now and I visited there breakfast buffet couple of times, really well served. There are banquet hall for various functions and live match to watch with big...
