Tongdak(Wimbledon) — Restaurant in London

I have previously ordered take out from this restaurant more than once and enjoyed it!

Unfortunately I had a really bad experience when I went there last night (13/10/2014). The service is extremely poor! I was made to feel very uncomfortable by the waitress as well as the chef!

As it was raining I went into Noodle Foodle to have a miso soup while I was waiting for someone. To order miso soup for one person seemed to be to much to ask of the waitress, and for that to be all that I was ordering even more so of a problem for her! Anyway, she went off and I then received my miso soup and was instructed it was GBP1.50 and she stood their waiting for me to pay ( not done to other customers as and when their food came out). I looked to see if I had cash and I didnt, asked if I can pay by card and was told GBP10 minimum per a charge. Far enough I told her I would pay her for the soup when the person I was waiting for came. The waitress was unimpressed by this and made me feel uncomfortable the entire time I sat there.

I went through my bag and found all the loose change I could find and just make up the GBP1.50, including pennies. They didn't want to accept the pennies and I said its all I got and made my way to the door. The chef still shouted to me across the restaurant that I can take the pennies/ copper, that they didn't want it!

Really bad service and no way to speak to and treat a customer, regardless of their order. I will never eat from Noodle...

My wife and I have been visiting Noodle Foodle for about 5 years now and usually find it is reliable. However over the course of the last year or so have had some less good experiences. Tonight however was nothing but pure disappointment!

Our food was actually fine. Good flavours and nicely presented, but that was about the only thing that was ok.

Having ordered 2 beers and 2 waters, we were given 2 room temperature beers and no water. It took about 10 minutes to get anyone to make eye contact, and when we did water was requested again... our food arrived, but unfortunately no water.

Third time was a charm, but yet again it took a long time to get anyone to make eye contact. At this point even the warm beer started looking appealing!

Then the bill was ordered... and the total was about £5 more than I expected. When I queried it, I was told that it was right, but I persisted. Our waitress took the bill away, came back and said that I was right but that a £4.50 "table charge" had been added (I assume it was a 10% service charge)... I have no issue with leaving a tip when I get good or even mediocre service, but strongly object to it being snuck onto my bill in the hope's that I will pay it without noticing, especially when I have been given warm beer and poor service!

Sadly after 5 years I believe tonight will be the last time I visit Noodle Foodle, and I will certainly stop recommending it to others who...

For 2 years we have loved eating at this restaurant and ordered take away, we are vegans so we only had Tofu teriyaki for the price of £7.50 which included tofu teriyaki, rice, salad and small miso soup. The price now has increased to £8.90 and for the same portion but without the miso soup! Firstly vegetarian food like for example tofu and vegetable curry anywhere else it wouldn't cost more then 7.50-8£ however we did order it few times and so forth but today I called them asking for a side of tofu teriyaki no rice no salad, just tofu...over the phone they said it would have been the same price but with the usual box full of tofu teriyaki...I go there to collect and the owner says it was a mistake for 8.90£ same amount of tofu in a half empty box and he couldn't put any extra bits in it since it was my fault to don't want the tie or salad with it but tofu stays the same few bits for £9!!!! Really really disappointed and upset that after 2 years of eating there we had to make the decision that it is not worth it anymore not for the food, not for the price and not for the...
