As a local guide, it’s my duty to provide honest feedback on establishments within our community, and today, unfortunately, I must express my disappointment with Bonjour Brioche. Despite its potential and unique position as one of the few coffee shops in this area, my recent visit was underwhelming, prompting me to leave a one-star review. The pricing at Bonjour Brioche is exorbitant, with a simple bagel costing an astonishing 13 pounds. This price point is inexcusable, even considering the limited local competition. Furthermore, the quality of both food and drink severely lacked. The coffee was subpar, failing to meet even basic expectations. My order of avocado with poached eggs and cottage cheese was poorly executed: the bread was burnt, the eggs undercooked to the point of being liquid, and the avocado tasted as though it had been defrosted, lacking any freshness or flavor. The cottage cheese, too, was stale. For this, I was charged 16 pounds, a price that felt like a slap in the face given the quality served. Interior ambiance and service did little to salvage the experience. The decor is nothing noteworthy, and the service was slow, leaving much to be desired. While I fortunately did not encounter the manager, who has a notorious reputation for rudeness in other reviews, the overall experience was still deeply disappointing. It’s hard to justify the high ratings this place has received, leading me to suspect the authenticity of many glowing reviews. With its strategic location and inherent potential, Bonjour Brioche could truly be a gem if only it would reconsider its pricing strategy and significantly improve the quality of its offerings. However, as it stands, I cannot recommend this establishment and urge potential visitors to look elsewhere for their coffee and breakfast needs.

I’ve been coming here for years and love having it on our door step. Best priced coffee around london and tastes delicious, often have a take away but when it’s quiet and I have time I like to sit down as the staff say take time to relax and enjoy it if your not in a rush!! Karla and her team are so friendly and make you feel like their friends. They make kids so welcome despite it being small area, they always remember my kids names and make an effort to speak with them which is appreciated. They take time to ask about your day and like any good coffee shop always remember your coffee order! Some reviews say it’s expensive but the food is fresh and of good quality and it’s a small business with overheads so it’s important to remember that! Breakfast, pastries, smoothies and coffees all amazing! Kids menu is good value also and my kids enjoy it as a treat. It gets the sun beaming through the window so a nice chilled atmosphere to sit and people watch on a quieter day! It’s my little place of zen and delighted to have it on our doorstep. Thank you to Karla and her team who are always striving to improve the business.

This spot is a true gem—simple, welcoming, and consistently delicious. The service is warm and attentive, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. The menu keeps things straightforward, focusing on quality ingredients and classic flavors. The fresh juice is a bright start to the morning, and the pastries are light, flaky, and just sweet enough. The egg dishes are cooked perfectly—nothing fancy, just well-prepared, satisfying meals. It’s the kind of place where you can settle in, enjoy good food, and start your day on the right note. Definitely worth a visit!

Used to be my favourite spot, but things changed significantly a couple of years ago. Unfriendly staff, chatting and sitting while the café was overcrowded and orders in no less than 45 minutes. Good coffee but food and experience overpriced. They take advantage of being the only ones in the area. Ps: It’s not all staff fault, it’s the management which clearly fails. updated - Since the manager seems to be very on the reviews, I’ll mention something I didn’t at the time: I know that some former employees left because of the manager’s attitude. Here’s another silly but illustrative example: They often forgot your order or extras. Ok, no big deal. Nobody is perfect. Once my food came with no extra egg (as ordered), and I could hear from my outdoor sitting a lady (one of the managers) yelling “tell her to start eating it, the egg is coming!” with a big/patronising attitude. The egg came 10 min later on a separate bowl and of course flooded in water from the boiling. Not what I would expect for a nice breakfast out. Food was cold by then and I felt uneased and distressed. I speak Spanish, and Portuguese, I can understand them perfectly and I heard them several times speaking in the same terms. On another occasion, I brought a friend who happens to be dairy and gluten intolerant. She was just nibbling some fruit from her bag while we’re waiting for someone to take our order and the guy came and said “You can’t have this here”. Excuse me? At the time I was a loyal customer, I easily go there three days a week and I left a significant amount of money on their food and coffee. From what I can read in the reviews, they keep behaving the same way and excusing themselves. Writing a review for them to make things better is a waste of time. They feel offended and they are not willing to change. I haven’t been since last year and won’t return. Many other local coffee shops struggling in the area while offering a much better...

I used to love this café when it first opened. The service was always a bit hit and miss, usually they would forget something but it was not a big deal and they always dealt with it with a smile and good humour. Now it is going downhill fast. Since I complained about an incident in the summer, when they gave me two consecutive drinks infested with ants, the service has been terrible. At the time the owner was away and texted me to say they found the problem was in their syrups and blamed the hot weather. I decided to give it a wide berth for a few weeks, the next time I went in I could still see ants crawling over everything in their kitchen. So I've given it a miss for a couple of months. Recently I've been back a couple of times as it is so convenient and my daughter likes going. The children's bagel is now one teeny piece of brioche but the menu still says bagel and they don't tell you when you order, yet they respond really rudely when you ask why you didn't receive what you ordered. The waitress, possibly the "manager", is exceptionally rude and miserable. Clearly she remembers me not being happy about consuming ants which is obviously somehow my fault! The new staff are also really abrupt and don't seem to understand basic questions. A few local friends have also gone off it too, we tend to go to Bliss these days where they are so friendly and welcoming. I wasn't going to write this review as I love supporting local independent businesses but after my last (and final) experience this weekend I have decided they don't...
