I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with the experience I had during my recent visit to your establishment. This was my second time dining at Toro, and I regret to inform you that it will also be my last.
From the moment we arrived, it was evident that the service was severely lacking. After waiting for a staggering 40 minutes, our drinks had still not arrived. When I approached the barman to inquire about the delay, I was met with the excuse that the establishment was busy. However, it was disheartening to observe that other customers who had arrived after us had already received their drinks.
To add to the disappointment, the wait for the meat to be served was equally frustrating. Despite making multiple requests, it took 25 minutes for the meat to finally arrive at our table. It was only after I complained that any action was taken. Furthermore, despite specifically requesting the Premium grill, we were consistently served meats from the normal selection until I raised the issue.
The most egregious offense occurred with the Costela dish, which was served completely cold. Even after voicing my concerns and specifying my order for the Premium meats, I continued to receive meats from the regular selection. To make matters worse, the pork loin that was brought to our table was so overcooked that it was practically inedible.
The excuse of it being someone's first day does not excuse the poor system and overall subpar experience at your restaurant. Even your own staff members acknowledge the inefficiencies and flaws within the establishment. Additionally, when I requested to speak with a manager to address my concerns, I was met with refusal and a dismissive gesture as the bill was thrown in my direction.
This entire experience left me feeling utterly ripped off and disrespected as a customer. The lack of attention to detail, the disregard for customer satisfaction, and the overall unprofessionalism displayed by your staff is simply unacceptable.
I insist on the removal of the service charge, as it is clear that the level of service provided did not merit such a fee. It is disappointing that it took the involvement of three different staff members before my request was addressed.
I urge you to take immediate action to rectify the shortcomings within your establishment and to improve the overall customer experience. As it stands, I cannot in good conscience recommend Toro to anyone based on my experience.

We were then ignored for about 5 minutes, there were only a few populated tables at the time and probably an equal amount of staff. Another waiter approached us and explained how it worked and took drink orders. We then approached the side bar, this is where it gets bad. Everything was cold, bread was as hard as a door stop and a strange, worrying smell was coming from the pasta dishes. Ignoring this, we waited for the promised freshly cooked meat which we had come for. Hah. Fresh? It's all part cooked and then reheated from what we could see. The pork was gray,tough and tasteless other than the excessive seasoning and oils. Then came sirloin, brilliant! Nope. Charred to death on the outside, fridge temp in the middle. Tough, dry and badly prepared and cooked. The only redeeming meat was the chicken, which I avoided just incase that also had been reheated, although another guest found a shard of glass in the chicken! Yes, I know, you're thinking it's probably just some hard rock salt. Nope, absolutely not. My guest cut their tounge and gum when trying to assess what it was, it didn't crunch and it didn't taste like salt. When hit on the table it smashed into a few peices and at this point we concluded it was glass. The waiter took this from us and a white shirt fellow attended to us, explaining its salt and then ate the shards we'd pointed out to prove it was just salt. He told us 'I not crazy man I not eat glass haha you see, salt!' whilst smacking his lips together like he's chewing toffee. Patronizing was not the word. We requested to leave and to pay for the drinks only as we had a terrible experience, been there less than half an hour and neither of us wanted to continue after the several failures of meat we tried.
He did not accept this at first as we'd already eaten. After stressing we were not happy with the service or food, he returned with a bill for just our drinks, I chucked a tenner in the book which was over the value of the bill and walked straight out of there.
Maybe it was because it was quiet, but a simple 'hey we cook this fresh so please enjoy the sides whilst we prepare' would have been welcomed.

Read moreWent for a friends birthday, 15 of us were booked in for 7, we turned up On time, only to be told it was cancelled which was not true. Had to wait in a small cramped space, staff were rude and made us feel it was our fault and we were an inconvenience to them! Shocking.
After rudely sorting out seating we were seperated on two cramped tables and was not tended to, no one explained what we needed to do, whether to go up for the buffet.. we managed to finally order a drink, me and my friend ordered pina coladas which were sour! I immediatly took them back, the manager tried it and realised how bad it was! They brought new ones back which were better.
After waiting a while with no service we decided to help our selves to the salad buffet.. but no plates, we asked member of staff who rudely parred us off and walked away. He came back dumped them on the side with no apology.. again RUDE.
We finally sat down and the meats came, they staff chopping the meat was not doing a very good job of it as it dropped all on my lap and on the floor! I said ‘can you not drop it on me please?!’, no response, looked like he was very miserable. Next another guy brought meat over asked if i wanted it which i responded “no thank you” but he put it on my plate anyway!!
The very overpriced bill came in which they added two extra drinks to it which we had not ordered! Again rude member of staff did not deal with it very well.
