Tudor Rose Cafe — Restaurant in London

So I ordered the full breakfast with extra black pudding and a tea. It was honestly absolutely delicious - like every item on my plate was perfectly done? You may think that's easy for a breakfast but nah.

The bacon, oh the bacon. Crispy but still meaty! I mean this had some proper crunch in places while still being properly meaty and having just the right caramelization happening on the fat.

The egg, though done as a round puc had just the right amount of crispy on the bottom, and a lovely liquid yoke for showing on my toast.

Oh and the toast! Not council issue bread this, good fresh bread with that lovely loaf shape. And plenty of it!

The black pudding was on the thin side for my preference but I'm sure most would prefer it - it being clearly well cooked throughout. Even being a little thin for me - no complaints here.

Mushrooms - lots of places overdo these but not here. Again fried to just that right point. Why can't I do mushrooms like these at home?

The hash browns... Now my only slight beef here is that I like my hash browns to form a palisade, holding my beans back from the rest of the breakfast. But no, these were on the other side of the plate. A bit of structural engineering of my own set me right here though. And like everything else these hash browns had a lovely crisp texture on the outside while being fluffy inside - so again - perfect.

The beans? Lots of sauce, but still plenty of the little blighters in there.

I came in during my lunch break to order some food. As I walked in I told a staff member behind the till that I wanted a burger meal for takeaway. As i received the meal and paid, the staff member told me that I had to pay extra for the bun for the burger itself.

This ended up costing me £7.

After charging me extra for the burger, I get back to work to finish my meal. I open the packaging to see a child sized portion of chips, a soggy bun, a minuscule burger and a sausage that was burnt.

I then showed everyone at my work and they also agreed with me.

I called to ask for a refund or to add more to the meal I was having. Instead I was told I was crazy for even thinking of calling them and I was wasting their time for calling about a “perfect meal”

Don’t come here, I’ve eaten nicer ready meals...

First time . . . . And the last! Being hungry, i looked for the biggest breakfast on the board - THE MEGA Breakfast. Now, from my experience of having "the ultimate" from whatever cafe, they always have included either chips or bubble as part of the breakfast - not this one, so i ordered a portion of bubble. The total came to £11.20!! And when the MEGA breakfast arrived, it didnt even include a spoon full of BEANS!!!
