Looking at other reviews of this restaurant, I feel like I may've just caught them on an off day. I ordered a Salmon Bibimbap to take away, and when I finally sat down to eat it, I noticed the salmon looked really gross - too gross to eat. Kind of slimey, as if it had defrosted badly or was expired. Completely different to the fresh raw salmon I've had many many times before at other places. I've attached photos. I had to pick the salmon out and throw it away, because by the time I had opened the takeaway container I was already on the train home having spent £13.90 on this dish! As I picked through the salmon I noticed a white slimey residue that had leaked onto the rest of the meal. I didn't photograph it, but that was the biggest clue that this food was expired. I did my best to remove every part of the salmon and its residue, and ended up throwing away half the meal. UPDATE: aaaaand it's given me food poisoning. no surprises there.

First time tried out our dinner, from a good recommendation. It did fulfilled our expectations and more. Superb delicious sushi and sashimi, prepared by the chief who experts are in sushi makings. There are also other warm cook and soupy dishes of Japanese and Korean cuisines, plenty of choices to spoil for. The main key is, prices are reasonably fair considering the rising inflation at the moment. The restaurant in the High street, right across Robert Dyes. You may easily get paid parking on the parallel street behind the restaurant, then walk down via Trinity Walk within 2 minutes to reach to the restaurant. Do not park on the side road as those are for the local residents only. Overall, we had enjoyable dinner and wonderful time, being so friendly service from the team. I would highly recommend this restaurant for any sushi lovers or anyone interested to try on Japanese and Korean cuisines.

Visited today with my friends and this place is a little hidden gem!!! First of all, the staff is so nice, friendly and welcoming - as soon as we entered we were greeted by this lovely lady which already made my day! We ordered some appetisers and some sushi rolls - I don't have one bad thing to say about it. Everything tasted so delicious, and the rice in the sushi was absolutely delightful, I was so surprised! Everything was full of flavour and it seemed like the ingredients were a really high quality. The prices are also really good for the amount and quality of food that you're getting. The only thing that would make it even better would be some quiet themed music! If you're in the area, PLEASE visit this restaurant, you won't be disappointed!! Hope I can come back and visit soon. šŸ’–

Everything about this place tells you to not comeback again... I wanted to give it a try even though the restaurant was empty... should have trusted my gut!

Dirty and sticky tables Menus are fading and damaged Their extensive menu and cuisine fusions of Korean and Japanese can only mean that your dishes will not be executed well... the sushi that we got was below average... you can get better at waitrose across the road! ā€˜pan fried’ gyoza must have been deep fried, i can’t think of any reason why it would be so freaking oily!! Quality of ingredients is bad... the rice, noodles, crab and just about everything else tasted and felt like anything you can get at your local supermarket for less than Ā£2 We were slapped with a Ā£50 bill for 2 people when the experience, food and atmosphere did not worth even half of it Note that they do service charge, what service??? we constantly had to do eye contact or wave hands in order to get attention in an empty restaurant! no one came to check if our food was ok or to just check if everything was going well...

Avoid this place, if you want good Japanese food, you are far better off at a little authentic Japanese store just across the road called ā€˜natural natural’... go there, you cannot sit to eat there but take it away, you...

I don't get the rave reviews over this place. I ordered the seafood ramen noodles and, for the first time in forever, I actually had to send it back as the overpowering fish smell was making me nauseous..a sure sign that it wasn't fresh. It came in a bowl with a pithy amount of soup and noodles. Then I ordered the beef donburi. Again, a pithy amount of dry tasteless beef strewn over a bowl of equally dry rice. Not even the sriracha could save it. My partner had some Korean fare which consisted of the usual spicy pork and cabbage and a meagre amount of rice. Korean food is lacking at the best of times and this was no different from the norm. The only one who had a decent meal was my daughter who had the chicken katsu curry. We won't be rushing back anytime soon.

One thing is that I wish Asian restaurants would understand that their food is not filling to men especially. Rice is one the cheapest ingredients out there, it would cost pennies to add more to a dish in order to give the person who's paying a satisfying meal. My other half is constantly having to finish our dishes in Asian restaurants because he never gets enough rice to feel full and doesn't want to have to spend a fortune to eat. This place is no different from a lot of Asian restaurants and a reason we avoid a...
