I have been coming to Spice Deli for many years. The café is located near Finchley Road, which is a busy street — but thanks to Spice Deli, anyone can feel like they’re in a small village, surrounded by local people. Spice Deli has become like a port for many — a place where people drop in for all sorts of reasons. I come regularly because the owners, Tarun and Kim, have made this place truly special. Kim creates the most delicious food, putting her whole heart into both the taste and the presentation. Tarun makes the creamiest oat cortado and the most perfectly frothed iced coffee. The young team is always respectful, kind, and helpful. To me, Spice Deli is a space where people greet each other, chat, smile, and connect in a real neighbourhood way. I honestly can’t imagine my everyday life without Spice. I’ve met people here who were just stopping by — from Australia, Canada, the US, and more — and I’m still in touch with some of them. People keep coming back, and that’s the best proof of just how unique this place is.

Spice Deli is a charming family-owned café where each dish served is a testament to their passion for excellent food. The Shakshuka is especially memorable, with just the right spice to warm your soul. Pair it with their aromatic Turmeric Latte for a comforting experience. Treat yourself to the decadent Chocolate Chip Cookie and the Minced Beef Pastry, which are both crafted to perfection. Beyond the cuisine, the service here is remarkable—genuine smiles and attentive care are part of the package. This café is a heartwarming find where great service and smiles are as abundant as the delicious offerings.

Just had lunch here and we will be back! Very innovative, interesting options. A lovely offering of Indian salads (cauliflower, aubergine, lentil, couscous) and bread rolls, chicken, salmon. Fabulous service - they explain everything available. Order off the menu from opening and then the lunch options (laid out to view deli style) are available from noon. One of us got the two salads and roll and the other two salads and salmon. THEN there are a variety of tasty sweets/treats to chose from and nice coffees as well, so it would be a great spot to meet for an afternoon cuppa as well.

My wife and I went for brunch, on the basis of previous reviews. The staff are really polite, but the food is bang average. The coffee was very poor and watery. The masala chai was disappointing. Ive had much better, such as at Dishoom. My wife ordered the Shakshuka, she said it was ok, but nothing to dance around about, and I had the Poha which was very average and the price for all the food and drink was not worth it.

The cakes on the counter look and sound amazing on the menu, but the taste and execution of these was very average. The pistachio and rose cake sounds divine, but was far from amazing and rather tasteless. The sticky cinnamon and Cardamom Bun was also very average and no Cardamom taste was present.

All in all a bit over hyped by the ratings and nothing to bang on about. Very average and expected better!! The best thing were the staff and their...

A unique, warm and lovable place. Fresh, delicious food with fun twists. The most wonderful hosts Tarun and Kim have created a little gem in our lovely neighbourhood Swiss Cottage - and we are very grateful.

Even as you enter you can sense that this is a refreshing place. Whether it is breakfast, brunch or lunch, or the dinner on weekends, the menu is fresh, offering several dishes with little twists on the regular fare. Even the bread they source reveals how interested they are in fresh, quality ingredients and food.

I particularly love their Middle Eastern/ Indian medley for brunch, and their innovative Indian dishes for dinner. The piece de resistance is the rose and...
