Discovered My Tortellini on groupon but the terms were quite confusing so I didn't bother getting it. (It is possible that this place has changed its name because on Tripadvisor, it is called Tortellini Cup.) The groupon is valid for a pasta item up to the value of £6.90 but according to their online menu on groupon and their website, all the pastas cost more than £6.90. The location was also a bit far so it took me a while to get motivated to go. Finally went on a week day and the menu was literally different to the online menu and groupon. It allows you to choose a pasta and sauce which makes your choices flexible but unfortunately you can mix pasta if you can't make up your mind. As well as Pasta, they had Tigella (round breads with a choice of fillings), Erbazzone (spinach pie) and desserts! It was really hard deciding what to order but pasta had to come first. Since this place is called Tortellini, I went for the Tortelloni which was filled with spinach and cheese. Other captivating choices were tortellini (filled with parma ham) and the maccheroni which is unique to My Tortellini. For the sauce, I got the tomato sauce. In a way, I wished they could throw in a few pieces of the maccheroni or just a piece of Tortelloni so that I could try it ad see how they taste. It was good that the Parmesan was served separately but the the pasta was served in a paper bowl which looks quite different to the cup as show on their website but still good. As for the taste, the tomato sauce tasted great as there was that home made taste to it and the plump tortelloni was delicious filled with cheese and spinach. Hopefully I will be back in the area again because I plan to try the Tigella with parma ham as it is more affordable compared to...
Read moreThis is a clean, low key, little oasis of kindness paired with yummy food. We are a family of 7, three kids are under age 10, the youngest two are 2 and 9 months. Suffice to say we don't fit in quietly or easily into most eateries. After many meals out with a lot of stress for the grown-ups, the instant we walked in the ambience just felt different.
The man running this establishment is even better than the food he is serving. He went into Nonno mode the moment my kids laid eyes on him, taking his time to understand each kids order, make the experience warm and fun for them and us. The kids menus have pictures of all the options: you pick your pasta, sauce, and toppings. AND he gave them plastic cups (talk about taking the edge off dinner for Mommy). Our picky eldest and toddler both ate their fill of yummy pasta. The cake pops at the end where a true treat. And when the squirmy toddler and baby started acting up, he picked up their high chairs and flew them around the restaurant. No small task for their weights and available space to fly. I could have cried the meal was so enjoyable.
If you are hunting for a kid friendly restaurant between Swiss Cottage and Finchley, this is the spot! We will...

Gramigna Salsiccia e Panna (Pasta) One 4" Pizza Margherita One Piece of Tigella with Parma Ham, Mozzarella Cheese Tomato Slice and Rocket One slice of Erbazzone Torta della Nonna (Dessert)
Review:
The Gramigna Salsiccia e Panna pasta was very heavy and ends up being very dry. The 4" pizza was quite underwhelming and not very flavourful The Tigella which is the bread was dry and the Tomato slice doesn't quite work with it. Erbazzone is the puff pastry, unfortunately you can't taste the parmesan cheese inside and the spinach flavour at times is bitter which doesn't help the overall taste. The Torta della Nonna which was the dessert was tasty, well balanced and not too sweet.
Overall the quality of each dish was not great apart from the dessert. Maybe with some slight improvements, it could be better
Pricing:
A lot of the items are very reasonably priced at £2 - £4 each while the pasta is generally between £11 - £15 for an ok...
