Unico Gelato & Caffè — Restaurant in London

I am sorry to rate you one star as the ice cream is amazing and tasty but the staff are very rude and unprofessional i was there today at 6:00 pm Monday 28/04 there were one women with the hejab and other man working i had 2 kids with me and am regular customer and my kids love that place first of all the man working there was ignoring me when I entered and was chatting with his colleague and he was playing with his beard and hair which not acceptable then I ordered 2 cups with 2 scoops on each one he wanted to give me a small cup i asked politely to give me bigger cup he argued 2 minutes to give it to me as i have little kids and i didn’t want the ice cream to be melted on them, then I became busy behind me so i went out to put my kids and give them the ice cream he knocked the window and shouted at me next to all that que to come and pay both of my kids was scared, i said am sitting am not leaving just one minute as my kids was crying they wanted the ice cream everyone was looking at me i came inside and i was explaining he didn’t even let me talk he said doesn’t matter you have to pay first , please those staff needs to be trained how to deal with people they can’t be rude to people even if they are busy and even though there is...

Im mum of two beautiful little girls one is 3 years old and other one 1 year old im regular customer, my 3 years old love this place we go there at least 3 times a week. Some of the staff are friendly but some others they serve you like you had a fight with them earlier!!! BUT yesterday ( Thursday 29 August 2024) my daughter was about to finish her icecream my 1 year old start crying and screaming because she saw her sister still having the icecream but not her as alllll kids in the universe one of the staff shouuut at me rudely telling me ( i can’t hear the customer vey louuuud…) with rudeness and agressiveness i let my daughter to finish her icecream before i left i let her know that she’s not allowed to talk to me or about my baby like that and i will not accept it next time… i asked about her name they said that her name is martina i don’t know if its true but i will wait for the responsible of this company to contact me regarding this matter because its not acceptable what she does i dont want an apology from her this kind of person need other job definitely not to be in contact with customers at all!! If you like ice cream as much as I do 🍨, Unico is always worth a visit when you’re in or around St. John’s Wood 👍.

They have a good selection of delicious ice creams and sorbets to choose from 🥳. On top of standard flavours such as chocolate, vanilla and stracciatella, they do two different and equally tasty dark chocolate versions 🍫, one of which is vegan. I also quite like their bacio gelato, a blend of chocolate and hazelnut 🌰. And they make a very nice mango sorbet 🤩. Additionally, they regularly change some of the flavours to mix it up a bit and add seasonal options 🔀.

Crucially, for me anyway 😆, they are open all year round 🗓. So I can even enjoy a little cone 🍦 when it’s snowing 🌨. The staff are very friendly and are happy to suggest a new flavour combination 😎 when you find it difficult to choose 🤔 or you just want some inspiration 💡.
