A Truly Exceptional Italian Dining Experience at Babbo From the moment we stepped into Babbo, we were surrounded in a warm, stylish ambiance that set the tone for an unforgettable evening. The service was impeccable, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the menu. Aperitivi & Antipasti We began with the Arancini al Tartufo Nero—hand-rolled rice balls filled with squash purée and topped with black truffle. These were nothing short of divine, offering a perfect balance of earthy flavours and creamy texture. Accompanying this were the Babbo Meatballs, tender veal meatballs in a rich tomato sauce, and the Cestino di Pane, a selection of freshly baked breads that paired wonderfully with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, the Olive Nocellara e Parmigiano Reggiano—a delightful combination of green olives and chunks of aged Parmesan. Insalata The Carciofi salad was a revelation. Charred artichokes combined with mixed greens, red onions and cherry tomatoes, all dressed in a zesty lemon vinaigrette, created a refreshing and flavourful start to the meal. Babbo’s Pizza The Babbo-Amo pizza was a standout. The crust was perfectly thin and crisp, topped with mozzarella, courgette, caciocavallo, and onions. Each bite was a harmonious blend of flavours that showcased Babbo's commitment to quality ingredients. Primi The Ravioli Ricotta e Spinaci was exquisite. Delicate ravioli filled with creamy ricotta and spinach, served with cherry tomatoes and fresh basil, offered a comforting yet refined taste of Italy. Mains For the main course, we opted for the Branzino and Veal Milanese. The Branzino was a beautifully cooked seabass fillet, accompanied by grilled vegetables that complemented the fish perfectly. The Veal Milanese featured a pan-fried veal ribeye served with a mixed salad—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and utterly satisfying. Piccata di Vitello al Limone was perhaps the most surprising delight — the veal was melt-in-your-mouth tender, with a sharp, buttery lemon sauce that was utterly addictive. It was bright, bold, and beautifully balanced accompanied by a creamy mash potato. Contorni The side dishes were equally impressive. The Patate al Forno (roasted potatoes with rosemary) and Broccoli con Aglio e Peperoncino (broccoli with garlic and chili) were the perfect accompaniments, adding depth and flavour to the meal. Desserts We finished with two desserts that beautifully captured Babbo’s balance of classic Italian and creative flair: Crème Brulé, Arancia e Cannella: silky vanilla custard with a perfectly torched sugar crust, subtly infused with orange and cinnamon. The accompanying red plum sorbet was tart and refreshing — an inspired pairing. Baked Vanilla Cheesecake with Raspberry Coulis: smooth, rich, and not overly sweet. The raspberry coulis and the hazelnut gelato added just the right touch of acidity freshness, and brightness to round off the meal. Final Thoughts Babbo offers a dining experience that is both authentic and innovative. The attention to detail in every dish, the exceptional service, and the inviting atmosphere make it a must-visit for anyone seeking high-quality Italian cuisine in London. We left with full stomachs and happy hearts, already planning our next visit.

Delicious Italian Cuisine My friends and I visited Babbo on Friday 25th October 2019 with the aim of a girls dinner and a great atmosphere, a couple of our friends have been to Babbo's and highly recommended it, after a little Online search came across Babbo instantly saw pictures of the dishes and decided to book a table for a group of four at 7pm. From our arrival the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and attentive in every single detailed from explaining various cheeses on the cheese board selection, the ingredients of each dish to serving our food and checking we were happy with out being overwhelming. Everything on the menu is worth trying, in my eyes Babbo’s Chef aims to deliver delicious yet healthy Italian food. There are classic dishes and signature Babbo specials. Every single dish from the starters all the way the desserts, no only did they look like a work of art but accelerated our taste spuds and we wanted to try more. We indulge ourselves with following delicious starters: Cod croquettes, beef fillet carpaccio, mustard dressing & parmesan cheese, Classic mini margarita pizzette, beef tartare served on quinoa crackers, Red prawn tartar with imperial caviar & centrifuge of green apple. Pastas to die for, homemade maccheroncini with porcini mushrooms & Linguine gragnano with lobster. Chefs special Beef cheek with mustard mash potato and cabbage salad, the beef was perfectly cooked it soft and almost melted in your mouth. Desserts out of this world, Cheesecake, Vanilla Panacotta, Titamisu with a delicious coffee ice cream Everything is made in-house, from the pasta to the bread and pastries. Giuseppe was so attentive and offered us to try some of the Halloween specials, we tried and enjoyed the Black Widow cocktail and the special Halloween dessert which as one of my favourite desserts ever! Blood orange SemiFreddo with pistachio sponge, white chocolate was simply perfection. Thank you to head chef Nicola, who personally came to greet us, and to check on us to make sure we are enjoying the food and overall experience. The food was nothing short of perfection, I will be back soon to try the rest of the menu and I certainly recommend the restaurant for the overall experience with the staff and food.

I stopped for a couple of days in London for business. As I was walking down the street, I saw a lovely fiat 500 vintage car parked in front of a restaurant which caught my eye, Babbo. I saw that the customers were thoroughly enjoying the food that was set in front of them. Furthermore, I entered the restaurant and was kindly greeted by the staff of the restaurant. The atmosphere felt nice and the music was at the right volume. All the selections of the starters was recommended to try the Fiorentina and boy, it was the best dish I have ever tasted! The recommendation did the right thing! The meat I ordered came to me and I was able to notice that it was very well cooked and prepared to a high standard. I enjoyed every minute of my time in Babbo and I left, ready to share my experience to my colleagues.😊👍

Sometimes in life you must accept that some places should not be called a restaurant only, they should be called a food paradise. In this case, a real Italian food paradise in the heart of Mayfair, in London. Yesterday evening I visited Babbo with my work colleagues. We booked our table for 7pm and from the first minute we arrived I felt what I call ‘human touch’ in all action taken by all members of staff. First we had a warm welcome from a smiling hostess that very kindly showed us our first surprise: a beautiful table specially reserved nearby the stairs. I would say that place was the best specially if you’re with a group of friends. Then, the manager Roberto - that is not only a manager, he’s a dedicated sommelier that understands everything about wine - came to introduce us to wine ‘heaven’ menu. We followed his suggestion getting a Château Fourcas Dupré that we definitely do not regret and I trully recommend. After that, the chef Nicola - that deserves a special thank you for all attention he gave to us during the whole evening - came to explain all the dishes at the menu, including the gluten free option (if you’re coeliac like myself, that is the best place to go). We ordered and the show started: one by one the dishes arrived and I was almost speechless. The delicate way they cook and present the dishes make you feel sorry to touch it. It’s unbelievable beautiful. We had as starter/side courses burrata (the best in town, trust me), carpaccio di manzo, tartara di gamberoni rossi and avocado and cucumber salad. Everything fresh cooked and 'stupendo'. All approved! After that, I had risotto and grilled beef that, omg, will be remembered for a long time... unbelievable delicious! But the surprises didn’t stop coming. They found out it was my birthday evening and gave me my dessert decorated with a lovely sparkler candle accompanied with a happy birthday sang by almost all the floor staff. I don’t need to say you guys made my day. Last, but not least, I had the honor of been introduced to David Luiz, that by coincidence was there with his family and also is one of the Babbo’s owners. God bless him and all the staff, specially the chef Nicola and the manager Roberto for this...
