Didnāt try coffee which seems to be what this place is known for so canāt comment. Food very mediocre. Ordered a breakfast which specified refried beans on the menu - perhaps mislabelled as I was served a breakfast covered in tinned baked beans (not seasoned or spruced up either) which I personally really donāt like so wouldnāt have ordered and the āsautĆ©ed potatoesā looked and tasted like boiled new potatoes. I did mention the beans misunderstanding to the waitstaff as soon as I was served but they werenāt bothered in the slightest which is a shame because I wasnāt asking for anything, just letting them know that the menu was very misleading which had me leave more than half of the breakfast I paid Ā£13 for. Bit cheeky to be putting Heinz in a pot and calling that refried š¤·āāļø Youāll have the exact same breakfast for a third less and no artistic rebrands of well-known foods in the greasy...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWeāre very lucky that Vagabond is our closest cafe, so Iāve had coffee here a lot and itās very good. What made me want to write this review though was the Full English I had here recently.
Iāve had their Full English in the past and it was fairly average, not bad but not great. However, the last couple of times Iāve been theyāve stepped up their game so far itās unbelievable - I think Iāll be coming back for it every weekend.
The first thing to note is the quantity you get. It doesnāt show in the picture, but itās quite literally a mountain of food. The most important thing though obviously is the quality, and I have to say I think it may be the best Full English Iāve ever had - and Iāve had a lot.
The sausage is juicy and flavourful, the black pudding has fantastic texture, the beans are seasoned unlike any Iāve had before, itās all just incredible. Keep doing what...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCoffee is very good but the quality of food left much to be desired. The tricolore breakfast special (Ā£9) comes with salmon, avocado, tomato and two poached eggs on ciabatta. I don't know how they managed it but the ciabatta was hard on the outside and soggy on the inside. One of the poached egg was overdone, and the tomato was like the palest I've seen with a tinge of green. Smoked salmon tasted like something you'd find at ikea, and to top it all off the chef just sprinkled dry herbs over everything. Please get yourself a real chef and better ingredients if this is the price you're charging for your food. I expected more than just unseasoned vegetables sliced with a mandoline. Ps: please stop skimping on the chocolate for your brownies, it just tastes like a mouthful of flour in its...
