Horrible we entered the restaurant then was seated, the place was cold which as a result I had to wear my jacket. We were given one menu for us both n when I called the guy for another menu one was Japanese and one was Chinese not sure why.

I have been here previously about 10 mths ago and was satisfied with the food as I did take away.

The forks still had food on them which indicated they weren’t washed properly so the guy changed the fork. I ordered special chow mein n I had to send it back as it tasted burnt. The gentleman told me he would remove the item from my bill but it was still there along with service charge of £4.55 which I also told him to remove (but mumbled he was instructed to do this) My friend he ordered duck fried rice n said it tasted stale. There was customer service but this wasn’t great the young gentleman seemed confused! And when he brought my drink over which was a can I had to suggest he brought a glass. The salt n pepper prawns were the only thing I ate n a few spring rolls u could tell the spring rolls were frozen. They gave complementary prawn crackers which tasted stale! There was a lady going in n out of the kitchen n so was the young man no appropriate clothing for hygiene standards there was also a guy that walked out with a mop I’m sorry it’s just not acceptable!!

Overall the experience was a joke and I went to watch the Brazil match at the Emirates n suggested this place if you want to enjoy a great authentic Chinese this isn’t the...

In the area and with a craving for some Chinese food we turned to Google and we ended up here.

We wandered it and were greeted and seated immediately. It was around 6pm and fairly empty, as I would expect for a Monday night I guess. The decor is fairly simple but clean and works well. Expect some bamboo and a few canvasses hanging on the walls depicting a tourist's eye view of China.

We had two menu options, Chinese and Japanese. We were all about the Chinese but I had a look through the Japanese just out of curiosity and it looked pretty good. Our drinks order was taken promptly and we ordered starters and mains after being given a few minutes to peruse the menu, with some complimentary prawn crackers while we made up our minds.

Starters were good value, bigger than I expected. I would have probably ordered to share if I had realised. No sooner had we finished we were asked if we were ready for our main. I figured this meant it was ready so we may as well have it rather than let it sit but then only half our order came out, with the rest appearing in bits and bobs over the next ten minutes.

Food was nice, rice portions are big enough for two to share. Once we had been served it get a bit like we had been abandoned though. In the end I had to flag one of the staff down to get another drinks order in, even though they were constantly passing by our table and we had long since finished ours.

Not a bad meal experience all told, but not one worthy of a...

This is not my doorstep local chinese. However, this was the only chinese shop I would order from until today. The last four orders I have made I have been receiving food that is incorrect e.g. noodles without pork then delivered with pork and told they will credit my account only to be told on my next order by the phone staff there is no credit on the system and the manager is not there.

Today I ordered singapore noodles and special fried rice. Anyone who eats the two will know EXACTLY what they look like. Because I ordered special fried rice without pork I was given cloggy egg fried rice with two prawns and four strips of chicken? The noodles were dry without the chilli which again was ordered without pork so a vital ingredient to the dish was missing?

Upon calling the manager 'Mary' said she will check with the kitchen and did not once appologise. I was then told she would credit my account for my next order AFTER I had told her I would no longer be ordering from them due to the lack of service. She then said she couldnt refund the foods and would have to work out how much to refund as my entire order was £29 and I qualified for their advertised £5 off on a £25 or more spend.

Surely this kind of service is not acceptable and having been a customer for many years I can say they have become complacent and their standards have dropped or both the chef and manager do not care and would rather continue to con...

3 Asian food spots to visit in London (part one) click for more information! 🍜🥟 1. Oriental Gourmet 📍 Holloway Road/Highbury & Islington Come here for a multi-layered charcoal copper dry hot pot. Choose between 2-4 towers, your protein (beef, pork, king prawns or frog legs) and 3-5 toppings including classic Chinese veggies, noodles, meat/seafood balls and root veg. Not good value for vegetarians but there’s a huge menu of regional Chinese dishes as well as bubble tea, Japanese and Thai food (didn’t try these). Loved the aubergine with garlic and the kick of the dan dan noodles. Great for groups and chilli food lovers! Thanks to @angelahuii for the booking and recommendation!! 🌶 @oriental.gourmet.london.food 2. Dim Sum & Duck 📍 King’s Cross I’ve recommended this place to pretty much everyone I know over the last year and half and will continue to do so! My favourite soup dumplings in London. Great for dim sum, Cantonese dishes and food that’ll fix missing Hong Kong for another meal. If you can, avoid peak times and weekends as the queue gets LONG (1.5 hrs+). I recommend the prawn dishes too! Love the team so much! @dimsumandduck 3. Café Bao 📍 King’s Cross Inspired by Western-style cafes in Asia, Café Bao in tucked away in Pancras Square. They offer a brunch menu, baked goods onsite and a food menu that includes the popular 40 day aged rump beef rice (worth the hype), fried chicken with pickles (loved the batter and seasoning), ham hock congee pie with XO (love the concept but wasn’t blown away), lobster fries (underwhelming) and a selection of bao (always a winner)! We ordered two portions of avocado roll, two cans of coke, prawn tempura, and teriyaki chicken and rice through uber eats. We only received one can of coke and 6 pieces of sushi. Their menu on uber eats clearly states the sushi comes in 8 pieces, but when we called they insisted it didn't say that and they come in pieces of 6. The menu does in fact say 8 pieces but regardless, I didn't get 10 of the sushi rolls I ordered so they basically stole money from me. The chicken teriyaki was dry and basically something I could make myself so no point in paying them for it because it isn't good. Update: They sent out 6 more rolls for me, still not the 8 that it states on their menu, and some were made so poorly (providing image of it). It's almost like they don't want customers to come back or get good reviews because absolutely no effort was made while making our meal and will not be returning again. Don't waste your money here please!!!

🐄 Double Layer Copper Pot Beef Frog + Beef Brisket When it was served, it already smelled so good to me, the bullfrog and brisket were piled up so full that they were almost overflowing, it was so appetising to look at. There is also a burning charcoal fire continuously heating the double layer copper pot, the aroma is overflowing, the upper layer is fresh beef brisket, are stewed crispy, the meat QQ QQ elastic is also particularly flavourful. The lower layer is a superb bullfrog, frog legs with large pieces of garlic clove meat, tender and full, crunchy rice eat thief addictive, frog meat firm and full, delicious to even the fingers of the soup to shiver a little. In addition to the meat, there are a variety of side dishes, sliced potatoes and cabbage 🥔 stewed soft and tasty over the rice.
