I'm sorry to share about my disappointing experience at Varanasi Chefs. It's indeed frustrating when a restaurant's name doesn't align with the cuisine it offers. Based on my detailed feedback, it will be clear that my expectations for an authentic Indian meal were not met. The fact that it turned out to be a Bangladeshi restaurant with a misleading name was quite frustrating specially when I was looking for an authentic India restaurant
Additionally, the lack of friendliness and attentiveness from the staff, despite the restaurant being relatively empty, only added to my disappointment. It's essential for any restaurant, especially when dealing with a group of eight guests, to provide a welcoming and attentive service.
The poor quality of the dishes, including Saag Paneer, Mattar Paneer, Pilau Rice, Dal Makhni, Aloo Tikki Chaat, and overly oily Veg Samosas, further compounded my negative experience. Authenticity in Indian cuisine is crucial, and it's disappointing when a restaurant falls short in delivering that.
The Pistachio Kulfi, though slightly better, couldn't compensate for the overall unsatisfactory experience. It's crucial for a restaurant to maintain consistency in the quality of both food and service.
It's essential to provide honest feedback to help others make informed dining choices. Hopefully, people who are in search of authentic Indian dining experience will not be going to...
Read moreif you are an indian food lover, you should definitely try this place. last week i discovered this place from google and i am glad i found it. i would specially recommend their peshawari naan, chicken lollipop, malai chicken tikka, king prawn patia and aloo gobi. besides if you like hot you should try cheese and chilli naan. it is very hard to find authentic indian taste in abroad and compared to all other indian restaurants of my experience in london they provide the best authentic indian food. need not to explain their quality of customer service since its a service oriented industry and would mention if they were any less than what i expect.
most importantly, the price they offer are pretty much close to the other restaurants but totally worth it in terms of taste.
anyway try their food, if you understand authentic indian taste you would be coming again as i am. hope you wont be disappointed.
happy...
Read moreJust another Indian restaurant. We went here after checking if they serve Jain dishes (no onion, no garlic). They said yes and infact their menu says "If any dish is not on the menu, we can make it upon request". However, once we went there the staff said that they cannot prepare the sauce without these ingredients since the sauces are already made (surprise!), wonder if they were simply bought and refrigerated. He pointed us to a starter and a side that suits our preference and we requested atleast larger portions (with a higher than advertised cost) of them since we would use them as our sides. However, when the food arrived, one of the sides had not onion and garlic in it while the quantity was so little even for a side. Totally disappointed with their lack of effort to accommodate guests who checked with them before...
