Villa Carioca — Restaurant in London

Great place to eat Brazilian food. Not so many options for Vegetarians but we are none, so nothing to complain here. When we came in at 8:30pm it felt a bit odd that there were only two guests besides us. I counted 34 seats though. Both ladies that served us were very friendly and helpful. As it was the first time to eat Brazilian for my company, maybe they could have taken more time to explain us their menu and the typical ingredients we were not yet familiar with as it was not super busy like written before. Three big screens were showing a Rock and Pop concert by a Brazilian cover band, it matched with the nice interior of dark wood and lots of huge mirrors.

All food was very good, the highlight being the Picanha but we ordered way too much. In Germany the waitress would tell us when she feels it was too much, adding that we could add something at any time. This would help to avoid food waste. Yes, we could bring the leftovers home, but not to a hotel room without a fridge.

The lavatories were very clean. Normally I would not mention this because I expect this at any time but in this case I want to give this as a positive example for surrounding places where we experienced this differently!

The starters were good, however the meat was very chewy, I ordered medium, and it came medium well, after 2 mins on the table is was already well done.. we’ve ordered 2 platers and both were the same. A little disappointed. We’ve tried to book Frigideira, but they were fully booked. I wouldn’t be back here, I prefer to wait for Frigideira until they have space or book 2 weeks in advance. Wonderful, excellent, tasty new gourmet pizza from Copacabana, the new pizza restaurant at 7 Cricklewood Broadway, London NW2 3JX. The food here is top quality with very good service. The lively colourful interior is a delight, along with comfortable seating and a lovely large round table for parties of 8-10 people. Bit pricey but worth it. It's so nice to have this fab new restaurant just around the corner. Congratulations to the owner.
