Overall it was a great experience. The environment was simple, clean and very much gave me "New York hangout and music venue" - which is what they were going for (I presume). I absolutely loved the decor which was going for a diner ambience, but contemporary and minimalist. Definitely a lovely hangout spot and for casual dates. The pizza (their obvs main selling point) was hands down one of the best NY style pizzas I've tried so far in London. It was beautifully made, thin and floppy but with a soft yet crunchy crust. The flavour combos were also pretty well mashed and I truly enjoyed it. We ordered sides but unfortunately, they didn't have any wings available so we settled for the tenders and also had the mac & cheese. Though these were just average at best, with the mac & cheese needing more seasoning (more salt pls). Drinks were also pretty good! Rad looking bar xD I'll let it slide though because again, the focus is the pizza and environment here. I'd love to come back again during the evening or night-time. It'd be great to experience the venue when there's music and entertainment! I gave 5 because there's not really and option to give 4.5 (cos of sides, but that's so minor compared to the overall image as mentioned). I'll come back again when I'm around Peckham!!!

RECENT VISIT OCT 2025 Came here today as a treat to my child, only planned to get one slice each but today it was so good we had to get another lol we ordered margarita slice, shroom II slice and a hot ananas slice… ALL VERY NICE. Staff were kool and friendly!! It was sooooo quiet 😄 My daughter loved the layout as it looks like he LOL doll house 😉 FIRST VISIT Came here for my 6 yr olds birthday lunch as she loves pizza and both myself and my partner have been keen on trying it out. Between 6 of us we ordered 2 large pizzas, one pepperoni and the other was a margarita. Whilst being served the the staff member was very good, he informed of ALL the special offers/deals they do throughout the week, which was very helpful for future visits. Once we sat down with drinks our pizzas arrived within 15 mins or so. They were nice and had good flavours, however the base wasn’t like something I’ve had before and I didn’t really like it. However that’s the style and way they do things here which was kool. The most important thing was that my kid enjoyed it and she did! One major downside for me was that the place needed a good dusting out! There were soooo many webs on the windows!!! Yuck!

This is the second time I visited Voodoo Ray's in Peckham and now they have 3 vegan pizzas (instead of 1 when I visited a few years ago). Atmosphere and pizzas are great. And I will definitely come back as I love the size of the slices. The pizza El Niño is amazing! Thank you for offering vegan options! These are a few things I would change/improve: 1. Frozen Margarita was overly salty, undrinkable. I know the cocktail mix is premade before the restaurant is open, so I would recommend not adding so much salt to the mix. 2. Pizzas were a bit overcooked, maybe consider cooking them a few minutes less. The vegan cheese pizza we had had all crusts completely dark/burnt. 3. It was clear that the staff was overwhelmed when we visited, the waitress had too many tables to attend and the queue for pizzas was huge. An additional waiter/ress would help.

Avoid this place, it is out of control, in a very bad way.

More than 45min wait for a pizza in a quiet night. And when it finally arrives, it is so wet you cannot pickup a slice, and when you try all the toppings slide off! Rule #1 of pizza making failure.

Talked to the staff about what was going wrong, and it seems the owner tells them to serve all the takeaway pizza slices first, and the pizzas for inside tables last!

We will never ever go back here it is a disaster just waiting to go bankrupt. Super easy to fix this, but I am sure that no-one is even listening.

And that's the worst, nobody in the restaurant even noticed that anything at all was going badly wrong, and nobody in the restaurant was empowered to make any improvements.

In the end, we got a full refund (the only thing that was offered, not a free drink, only a full refund).

Suggestions that nobody asked for :

all orders use tickets (delivery, takeaway, seats) and are just served in order. one person spare to monitor and correct process failures inside (who needs another drink, who has been waiting more than 20mins) Cook the wet sodden pizzas for one or two minutes to dry them and make the slices firm enough to hold on to. if it is somehow impossible to service whole. Pizzas in less than 20mins, then take them off the menu - only offer spices. Discount if you order 6 or more. let the staff fine tune things, they are not stupid, they can work. It all out. turn the thin scratchy music down 60dba is plenty for a dine-in restaurant, people need to be able talk and listen without shouting. And spend a few hundred pounds on a proper sound system that doesn't sound so cheap.

It is not anywhere near as hard as they...

As I live a throw away me and a few members of my family decided to go as they hadn’t been before. I did nothing but praise the food as I had been once to grab a few slices after a night out. A big mistake coz it was nothing but a flop. We got there dead on opening time and we’re the only ones in there yet we still waited a very long time for our starters and pizza. Paying £32 for a 26” Pizza I thought was very pricey and not overly enjoyable. We all sat there thinking we could have got more from dominoe’s for that price. We ordered a half and half and I asked for added goats cheese on one side which I had to paid an extra £3. When pizza arrived I could see like 2/3 small pieces of goats cheese,I could have gone to tesco’s And got a block for that. For desert I ordered 2 brownie’s. When it came it was the smallest slice again could have gone to tesco’s For a whole cake for the £4.50 each I had paid. To make things worse it was covered with chopped Peanuts, my mum is allergic to nuts. It did not mention the nuts on the menu I went back up to till and explained my mum was allergic and There was no apology they just took the plate and walked into the kitchen. Wasn’t impressed with price, the food or the service. So basically moral of this story is I spend £60 on a 2 round of drinks, pizza and 2 brownies. Next time i’ll Take the extra few steps to tesco’s Express and...
